Tucking tail.

You respect him for turning his back on yet another city and fanbase and this time it was for money.

What responsibility does he have to anyone besides himself and his family? Seriously, do you think there's some sense of extreme loyalty in sports? He decided Cleveland was where he wanted to be. He's never demanded a trade. He's never done anything even remotely immoral. He's honored commitments and when he had the right as a FA to move on, he chose to do what he wanted. It cracks me up that this stuff pisses the haters off so much. He's been nothing but a model teammate and employee. Good thing what you think means absolutely zilch.

Did he have some kind of responsibility to stick in Cleveland just because they lucked in to the #1 pick the year he came out? I just don't understand the irrational hatred of the best player of this generation. Maybe that's it, he's so goddamn good? He brought two championships to Miami and now wants to bring one home. It's no guarantee, he didn't join some "super team" so you can't be upset about that. Use your hate for something worth while. Haters gonna hate. Enjoy. Go LeBron!!

He's going to a team with NO PLAYOFF EXPERIENCE.

It's going to be tough as hell, but a challenge he's ready for.

I think he knows it's going to be close to impossible to surpass Jordan so he'll just go home and get that city a title which would put him up there with legends.

Also, he was getting the max from either Miami or Cleveland either way, its not about money.

Read his letter, his heart is still in Cleveland, he has a great desire for that city, their fans, his wife wanted him to go back from what i read. I'm happy for LeBron, good for him.

Good post.

Not sure why Niners is still hating.

That letter was pretty awesome, not a LeBron fan like you but i respect him more now.

:Alone:

What I find most interesting is that the NBA has max contracts. None of the other big 4 sports in America have that type of thing.

LeBron should be earning as much as Peyton Manning or Miguel Cabrera with as many years on the contract.

Even if he stayed in Cleveland Niners wouldn't like him. Cause he's just a hater. That's what he does. He hates things.

You actually believe that dumb **** is able to write a letter?

So who are they going to get that will win them a title?

I don't have a crystal ball (and if I throw out names you'll either "LOL no chance!" or "not good enough to win," so I don't see the point in this exercise), but I'm not going to write off a team's next 4-5 years when I don't even know what the roster is going to look like. This isn't the mid0-00's Knicks where they were years away from cap room, locked into a team with no ceiling. They can start fresh (and they have some decent young assets)....I'll take that over a lot of other situations right now.

Pau Gasol and the Chicago Bulls are working toward completing an agreement.

Gasol had narrowed his choices to the Bulls and San Antonio Spurs.

If Gasol agrees to a deal with the Bulls, they would essentially be taken out of consideration for Carmelo Anthony.

Carlos Boozer is expected to be traded to the Los Angeles Lakers in a sign-and-trade for Gasol.

What young assets?

Other than Early?

Hardaway (made the all-rookie team), Shumpert

They're not world beaters, but the kind of guys who you could dangle in S&T's, you could easily move without adding picks if you need to open up a little more cap space, or guys who you could keep around as rotation players on a good team

Forgot about THJ, ok.

Shump is ok.

Still, they dont have many pieces.

And i stand by what i said, he isnt winning a title if he stays in NY.

I don't really see what Shumpert brings that any late 1st-2nd rounder in any draft couldn't.
They really don't have much at all right now.

Haters, hate and trolls, troll.....

It would have been far easier to just stay in Miami, because they still win another ring or 2.....he went back home, to a place that burned his jerseys, where he was the most hated man for four years. He goes to a young, unproven team, with a rookie coach.......how is this the "easy move"?
