What a joke that JR Smith gets a 5 games suspension for smoking weed. How in the hell does every player in the NBA not get suspended?

It's laughable that Dwyane Wade still thinks he's a top-ten player in the NBA.
 
Wade isnt top ten. I watched every game last year. This coming from a Heat fan too. Just shows how good Lebron is.

Indeed. I loathe the Heat, and especially that preening baldy LeBron, but he was the Heat last year*, and in that light it's damn impressive what they did last season.

*Well, LeBron and one clutch shot by Ray Allen.
 
Well Durant seems to really enjoy biting his thumb at the various Heat:

"He's a high-level player, and if you lose that, of course you're not going to be as good as you were before. But I love Coach [Tom Thibodeau] and what he brings to the table. Their defense is one of the best I've ever seen, so that gets them by.

He's such a great person all around, and I really enjoy watching him play. He's one of the few players I would go pay to see play. He's going to make them even better this year."

There will be a time when Durant is still in his peak years and Lebron will be slowing down. Durant isn't done getting better.

He'll surpass him at some point, probably not soon but eventually.

Can make an argument Wade is top 10 though.

Yep: it's too bad for Durant that, even after LeBron spontaneously combusts on this year's winter solstice, Derrick Rose will have re-ascended to top-player position.

I love D-Rose but there is no way he is a better player than Durant. Not with the way Durant has developed on the defensive end of the ball. I know its mainly because of Lebron but I still don't believe people understand just how incredible Durant is. I still contend by the time his career is over that there will be an argument he will be a top 10 player of all time.

I believe your defense-mechanisms have blinded you to my jocularity.

But in all seriousness: if Rose can improve his distributing a little, push up his three-point percentage a lot, and further progress in Thibodeau's defensive scheme (and he had made a lot of progress in 2012–13), he can be right there with Durant in the top three to five players in the league. That's a lot of ifs, though; right now I'd just like to see him play in a regular game.

I disagree. Lebron is other-wordly right now compared to anyone else. Who knows when he will "slow down"? He could slow down a bit and still be the best.
I think Durant is insane. But he's not close to Lebron.
