I really don't see a huge gap between Harrison Barnes and Greene.

I wouldn't be surprised if they let Greene walk.

Different skill set but overall not that much different. Green can defend 3s and 4s, handle ball, and knock down open 3s. Thethe believes that worth a max deal.

Green can guard all power r forwards and even some centers. He is also a much better passer. The ability to stretch the floor is paramount to how Golden State wants to play. Green is much more valuable than Barnes and they will do what is necessary to keep him. Do you guys not understand how great of a defensive player he is?

Yes. Greene is a fantastic defender. Arguably one of the ten best in the NBA.

But Barnes is a tremendous defender too and can do much more on offense for a fraction of the cost. I don't think it's crazy they move on from Green if he wants the max.

Barnes cam score in more ways. That's not the only way to help an offense.

Correct.

But it's also the best way to help an offense.

Don't take it so personal. I like Green. My point is that in a salary capped league I think he's expensable with Barnes there. I don't think you realize how good Barnes is.

If someone is gonna give Green anywhere near a max deal you let him go and stick with Barnes. Finding a poor mans Green isn't terribly difficult.

Barnes is a far better shooter and is better at stretching the defense which you talk about all the time.

No because since Barnes can't effectively guard power forwards them he is stretch out wing players. The point is to get the big guys out of the paint. Thank you for demonstratino you don't know what you're talking about.

Yup...all world defenders at the 4 that can shoot and pass are a piece of cake to find even in a redux version.

You realize Barnes plays a lot of PF, right? And has held opposing PFs to a 12.3 PER?

Without Green the Warriors guards will have no where near the space they do now. They run the opposing bigs in pnr all day and green neeneeds to be respected.
