NBA Thread

I didn't say Harden was MJ because Harden isn't an ISO player. I'm just illustrating why your HOT TAKE is wrong. It has nothing to do with Harden.

Well the stats and NBA evaluators agree that he's an MVP candidate this year. Why are they wrong? What's your hot take, Skip?

What's it have to do with then?

Steph is the MVP leader by a mile, he outplayed Harden last night on a back to back in Houston and are 3-0 vs Houston. Chef Curry is MVP, thats my take Chip.

I don't know. You brought up ISO basketball not me. Harden isn't even an ISO player.

You said Harden isn't an MVP level player. Except he has a lot of statistical and media support for being a candidate. But you don't think that and that's hes "not close" to that. Steph Curry has nothing to do with that. So why isn't he a candidate?

Harden isn't a candidate because of how insanely good Curry is. The MVP award is Steph Curry's to lose. Now what would be interesting is if you take both players off their teams and see what happens to Golden State and Houston. If we are going based off stats then Andrew Wiggins should be in the discussion too.

I wonder what would happen if you took Korver off the Hawks.

Steph is the MVP. Of course.

But Harden is the number 2 candidate. This is acknowledged by everyone and up until 30 minutes ago when Heyward went on an anti Harden rant did I even think it was a thought.

Silly Wiggins. He's not even remotely comparable.

Marc Gasol?

Joel Embiid now weighs close to 300 pounds, representing a substantial gain from his 250 pounds while at Kansas last year.

Embiid's work ethic is being question by some within the Philadelphia 76ers.

Embiid had a blowup with assistant strength and conditioning coach James Davis, which is one of the reasons he was sent home during the team's recent West Coast road trip.

The Sixers are trying to address the added weight. Embiid, however, hasn't always been a willing workout participant, according to sources. He's even blown off conditioning drills, one source added.

Ouch, no it's not. I haven't heard any of that, but I really don't pay much attention.

Love is not staying there. He isn't the type of plAyer you put next to Lebron. Love needs the ball in his hands more Lebron is so great with the ball that you need to su r round him with spot up shooters, cutters and roll big men love is not being utilized and he will go to a team that features him better.

Wiggins is going to be a stud. What he's doing right now at his age plus his obvious project ability with his frame is really impressive.

Love is a shooter. Blatt is an idiot and wants Love to post up

So Waiters has been ok for the thunder so far. Didn't think it would work well but I certainly didn't believe it would work this well so soon.

Having these chances in garbage time is the best way for the Thunder to get him used to his teammates.

I can't complain with what he's done. Thunder needed scoring off the bench and someone that could challenge his man defensively. I hope it lasts. Kid got drafted fourth overall just three years ago.

Man....who would have thiught that going into atlanta would be a tough game for the Thunder this week. Incredible how well coached they are.
