Horford 44th
Gasol 46th

Where am I wrong?

So what about Terrence Jones and Josh Smith from Houston?

How many times have I said it has value? I am stating that thethe is going to the extreme and only valuing rim protection.

No he's not. All that he has said that he thinks it's very important for a center to be a good rim protector. I don't see why that's wrong. It's certainly more correct than BRule saying you don't need it.

He said he wouldn't take Okafor because he could never have a center that wasn't a good rim protector. Uh

If you play Okafor at the four, but he can't hit jump shots consistently then that also won't work because you would have no space on offense.

Again, if Okafor is even average on defense then he will be fine. As I said at the beginning, I have no idea what Okafor can do because I'm not an NBA scout, but if he's an all offensive center than I would steer clear from him. You need rim protection in a league that is moving away from mid range jumpers to PNR based offenses.

You don't watch the Wiz.

Never said you don't need it......said having stars is more important than rim protection.

He said he preferred other players over him for that reason. I don't think that's an unfair assessment.

I can't believe I'm defending thethe. Guys, he can't always be wrong.

Even when I've been proven to be right I'm still wrong in their eyes. They really have a strange thing for me. I wish we could all be more honest in our discussions.

Towns isnt near as good as Okafor offensively but defensively he's already elite.

Some people have said they'd consider Towns over Okafor.

Okafor is horrible on defense, and is a bad FT shooter.

Towns ALSO is a very good FT shooter.

Melo is 32 and has MAYBE 2 good years left coming off surgery, yeah.

Rim protection is very important in the NBA.
