Not sure Kanter gets a max, wouldnt surprise me though, lot of dumb GM's out there.

Klay got 4/70, FWIW.

It will be interesting though, not sure OKC can max him but he's what they've needed for years, and yes aware he's god awful on defense.

Everytime Otto plays a significant role, he kills it. Makes 1 bad play, may not see court for 2 weeks

At halftime tonight, it was reported that OKC had given up 102 points in the paint I. It's last 6 quarters. That defense has disappeared.

I know Serge is big loss, but I find it super hard to believe they are a top 10 defense with him healthy which is what thethe claims.

You'd be surprised what his impact makes.

But not just Serge, KD/Roberson, even Collison are solid defenders, all are out obviously.

And RW is toast. Best thing for the franchise is to keep that first round pick this year and hope they get Orlando Magic lucky with the ping pong balls.

Even if they arent top 10 with everyone healthy, they wouldnt need to be as good in past years with how ridiculous the offense would be.

What teams are healthy with everybody? This scenario hardly ever exists.

GS for the most part has been healthy all year.

Curry misses one game, they lose, what's GS record if Curry is out for 40+ games, not very good.

Hence my point.

I'm not talking about a few players out here or there, that **** happens.

But Ibaka out for a month, Russ has missed 15+, KD has missed 3/4 of the year, that stuff is what i'm talking about. OKC is locked into the 2nd spot if those guys are there. They've played lots of top teams close with a depleted roster, kinda amazing/sad at the same time when you think about it.

Throw in Adams, Roberson, Collison, Morrow even missed some time, never seen a team get this beat with injuries.

Its Serge and KD. KD makes a big impact on the defensive side of the ball as well.

So does Roberson. As awful as he is defensively, he ranks at or near the top in a lot of advanced defensive metric among perimeter players. Ibaka, Durant, and Roberson are OKC's three best defensive players and Collison is somewhere in the top 5 or 6. I do think OKC would be a top 10 defense if they had all four of those guys. And, at the very worst, I think they'd be a top 15 defensive team. Thing is, OKC wouldn't need a top 10 defense like they've had the last two or three seasons. With the new acquisitions, and everyone else healthy, they'd easily have a top 3 offense if not the best offense. I think with everyone healthy it'd be their most potent and best offense in the Durant/Westbrook era. I'm pretty sure their offensive rating is the best or second best since the Kanter/Augustin/Singler/Novak trade, and they've got the 11th best offensive rating in the NBA despite being dead last the first month or so of the season due to the injuries. I really do think this team, if fully healthy next year and with Kanter re-signed, can have an offensive rating better than the 110.5 (6th) they had last season and even better than their league best 112.4 ORtg from 2013.

It's a real shame, too. Because like Heyward said, if they have a "normal" year injury wise, they're locked into the second spot and probably at least within striking distance of OKC. I think they'll be a real threat to win 65ish games next season if Durant comes back close to 100% and he and everyone else stays (mostly) healthy next season.

Golden State this year and we see the results.
okay, but that's one team. I understand OKC has been unusually unlucky with injuries, but making claims based upon the assumption of perfect health is like me saying I could make a million dollars off investing if I could just average 12% rate of return. Being healthy is the exception, not the norm.
