You are not watching then. Watch when they run the pick and roll with Harden

Jumping the pnr is a staple of every defensive playbook
Every team does it to virtually every player. Flood the weak side and recover on the stronh side.

The Rockets simply don't have an answer for the Clippers' defensive strategy in the halfcourt.

They occasionally run two players at Harden, which has turned him into a passing point guard.

But the Clippers have been providing plenty of help as well. Harden has recorded 12 and 11 assists in Houston's two losses in this series -- but the operative word there is "losses". The Clippers are willing to let other players try to beat them, and so far they haven't shown they can.

The Clippers locked in defensively in the final three quarters, though, and forced Harden to play at their pace. They forced Harden to give the ball up early in pick-and-rolls and made other guys make passes or shots to beat them.

Do I need to find more links?

Every great PG is defended the same way.

Too bad the great Howard can't help him. What happened to how great he is?

Howard is a great defensive player/solid offensive player. Has anyone besides Heydummy said differently?

Great PGs can be defended like that; puts the ball in others hands to beat them. The Rockets don't have anyone that can beat them except for Harden.

McHale is an idiot for sure, but he has nothing to work with outside of Harden. The Clippers are essentially double and triple teaming Harden to force others to beat them and the Rockets have no one to step up and make a basket.

He's being mostly singled by JJ ****ing Redick and players like Rivers, Crawford, Barnes. Stop.

If he's a top 3 player, he should average 35-40 PPG this series.

Yeah, Harden should be averaging the highest PPG of all-time while getting doubled.

I think Harden is playing well. Not to his level but still passable. They really miss Beverly. He is key to how they want to play.
