I mean who knows where he'll wind up, but so far he's basically averaging close to a triple double every game.

And he takes his game to another level in playoffs it seems as well. Truly generational talent that can lead to a dynasty like team.

And the Hawks traded him away. Not that Trae Young is bad mind you, but Cam Reddish wound up giving almost nothing for a Young for Luka swap. Which is wild.

I think OKC did very well getting Caruso for Giddey. Kept waiting to hear what draft comp they had to include and was surprised when it ended up being one-for-one.

Cause of reddit I was reminded the Lakers took Lonzo Ball #2 in the draft. Can you imagine where LA (or Philly who picked 1) would be if they had Tatum instead of Ball or Fultz.

Giddey is going to be an awesome player but it just wasn't going to work on OKC.

This opens up the door to trading Dort in a draft pick loaded deal for Durant.

Chet/Durant/Jalen/SGA/Caruso

Good luck NBA

OKC hands down best team in league now and should be prohibitive favorites to win title next year

It bums me out that the league designs it’s cap rules to give incumbent teams the advantage to re-sign their players in virtually all situations …unless they find a diamond in the rough on the FA market, in which case they’re punished for originally signing the player at too good a contract. Most the Knicks were allowed to offer was 4/72, so it’s impossible to have hard feelings for IHart when he’s offered 3/87 somewhere else.

No question iHart is still knick without this idiotic quirk.

I'll take it still....

I would not take Taum over Kyrie.

Eh - I guess it depends on what you're looking for. I think Tatum is a beast of a defensive player that can guard 1-5 (as long as five isn't Jokic/Embid) while being a good offensive player. Guy fell in love with the 3 ball which is hurting him but I Think his huge frame will bring him closer to the basket as he ages and up his efficiency.

Love Kyrie but its too bang or bust for me.

Cason Wallace gave him a lot of problems in the playoffs last year.

Other than Boston who even comes close?

Well all it takes is one to not be "hands down clearly the best" but Denver, Boston, Minny, and possibly Dallas have to be in the conversation.

OKC just lost to Dallas and added a couple really good role players. I like what Dallas has done as well so its not like someone can say OKC is clearly better now.

And their young core gets another year of experience.

But they didn't simply add two 'great' role players [arguably two of the top 10 role players in the game]. They replaced someone that absolutely didn't fit with two players that fit like a glove and make the defense go from great to tops in the league.

This is to go along with the fact they were already the #1 seed in the west.

But its clear right now tier 1 is OKC/BOS and then a decent size dropoff to the Mavs/Wolves/Nuggets/Sixers/Knicks/etc... teams

You still cant call a team good? They gotta be the best?

OKC defense was solid, possibly the back end of the top 10. They add a couple good defensive/role players. Tops in the league? We will see, that is a really big jump.

There is not a decent dropoff between OKC and the Mavs/Wolves/Nuggest....if any.
