The object is to lose if you odn't have a team that can win in the future. Cavs are in a MUCH better spot as a franchise than the Knicks.

Agreed.

However this is what is entirely wrong the NBA. On any given season there are 4-6 teams who could win the title and this upcoming season is even less.

The Cavs aren't gonna be bad enough to get a top pick again, so either all the young kids develop and they contend or they are stuck between 7-8 seed and late lotto.

Irving is a stud but unless Bynum is healthy I'm not sold on his supporting cast.

As for AK47, solid pickup...Korver was a better fit but solid backup choice. Not really sure how all these pieces are going to fit together, though. Will be interesting to see if Kidd can come up with a style that'll work.

I don't think they are going to win this year but they do have a ton of solid young players around a superstar. Cleveland isn't a huge draw but there is a an all time player still in his prime that might want to play there again.

Kyrie is THE draw, he already had that respect in the league. The question is, will he stay in Cleveland or will he bolt to join another superstar? Hopefully he stays, unless it's for MSG :icwudt:

Kylie is good, but most interesting team, wtf?

What are the odds Bynum plays 30 games a.

Kyrie is special. Andrew Bynum rebounding and becoming one of the top 5 centers in the game like he was in the past. They just picked #1 in the draft and have a lot of intersting young players (Thomson/Waiters/Zeller)

What is interesting about Zeller?

How can you say a player that hasn't played in a year is becoming anything?

What is interesting about Waiters?

Zeller was a stretch but I think he can be an effective backup center in this league.

What isn't interesting about Waiters? Do you realize how much better he got as the season progressed? You just fail to see projection with any player. Its really odd.

Andrew Bynum is one of the most talented big men in the league. Will he always be hurt. Maybe...but I think its worth the risk.

They signed Jack and Clark. Two players who are solid NBA guys (Jack obvoiusly moreso). Cleveland is goin gto be a playoff team next year without question as long as Kyrie is healthy.

The bottom half of the East is horrible, so I would hope they can sneak in.

What about if Kyrie is healhty all year and with the addition of Jack and hte improvement of their young players?

Obviously Kyrie gets hurt they are right back to being a crap team.

Jack was a decent signing but he really fell off a cliff the last 2 months of the year, I wouldn't expect him to be close to what he did last year.

They have a couple nice pieces but they are really thin and can't afford any injuries....teams like that usually have trouble.

I think you are selling them short personally.

Irving

Bynum

Varajao

Thomson

Waiters

Bennett

Jack

Clark

Gee

Zeller

Thats 10 players who are legit NBA guys. Some more than others but I don't see where they are necessarily thinner than most teams.

Zeller and Gee are horrible

Bennett is a rookie

Waiters is a gunner

I like the Cavs, I think they could be a 7 or 8 seed but that's only because they are in the East. Now if you're telling me Jack is going to be the guy from the 1st half last year, Bennett is going to be 17 and 10, Waiters is going to be a poor mans Wade and Kyrie and Bynum are both going to play 70+ games....then sure, they have all the potential in the world. I just don't see that happening next year.

Fair enough....

I don't agree that Zeller and Gee are horrible considering they are more than likely the 9/10 players off of the bench. Otherwise, I think what you are saying is fair.

Give my Sixers a year or two. We're going to suck, get a top three pick in a weak draft and have another first rounder. Noel will put on 100 lbs for 2014-15. We will welcome Wiggins or Parker. and BAM. Championship.
