Wow. so I guess Harden/Howard combo is so good they were able to push a rookie team to six games. I commend them!

When your PG is new then its a rookie team regardless of the mix. Also, Robin Lopez (who was a big part of their success) came over this year.

Morey is such a great GM!
 
Wouldnt say rookie team but they arent the most experienced team in the world either.
 
Portland is really good. Lillard/Alridge are pretty close to Harden/Howard. The difference between the two is Lillard has ice in his veins and Portland has better role players. (batum, Matthews, Lopez)

He is horrible defensively but a gifted offensive player. Not just in his shooting but he understands progression and spacing real well.

However, he will be abused on the deffensive side of the ball his whole career. I'd take guys like RW/Wall/Curry over him always.

Problem with Houston is that Morey made horrible moves with Lin/Asik. I hope no team is stupid enough to get him out of his whole with those poison pill contracts.

There is nothing wrong with Asiks deal.

As for Lilliards defense, it's not like Westbrooks is any good either

I just think he has an "it" factor and is one of the more gifted players in the league. Not even just for last night, I like watching him play in general.
I would love if Portland or Warriors made a run.

Westbrooks defensive gaffes are mental and nto physical. You can take Lillard off the dribble and in PnR easily. The defensive metrics (RPM/Opp PER) grade out Westbrook to be better. Its not that Westbrook is great on that side of the ball. Its jsut that Lillard is really bad.

I agree with that. Lillard is fun to watch but as fans we always overlook the other side of the ball. Thats why people going gaga over Harden are not seeing the whole picture and maybe it was somethign that Presti saw before basically everyone.

I love Lillard and that team. Portland gave OKC all types of problems this year. Houston is still a really good team and will make some noise in the future as long as Howard is healthy. Just felt like ribbing my buddies on here.
