NBA Thread

It’s really hard to not believe in conspiracy theories right now.

Its so blatant that its insulting to nba fans.

And the sixers of course jumping to where they need to be to not give OKC their pick. Even with the impending dynasty OKC has they've actually had bad lottery luck for hte most part.

I struggle wanting to watch the NBA. The product is really bad right now. The irony that Roger Goodell is leagues better than Silver is not lost on me considering the consensus opinion a decade ago was Goodell was a disaster and Silver was mana from the Gods

Disagree in general on the product. THink we are actually moving back to a double big league which will expand diversity amongst playing styles.

The talent pool has never been this deep.

Kind of like Hockey the NBA is carried by its stars. 10 years ago you had Durant, Lebron, Steph, etc. all duking it out. Then they started the load management and so on so on so forth. Now the best player in the league is a dude who doesn't even want to play basketball, he only does it because it makes him impossibly rich. Basketball thrived on exciting stars, MJ, Bryant, Shaq, AI, T-Mac, etc. it shined on big personalities with big plays and big results. Now it's just not as fun or exciting.

Watch Jokic give all out effort on the court for 40 minutes and tell me he doesn't even want to play basketball.

When Jokic retires, he will have nothing to do with basketball, I'm confident in that. He doesn't care about basketball, he sees it as an ends to do what he wants, raise horses.

There have been many players that love to play the game but they have no interest otherwise.

I would suspect Jokic will be one of those guys for sure.

But for right now - Jokic is very into playing basketball.

If Jokic wasn't getting paid 50 million dollars a year he wouldn't be playing basketball. I think Kobe would have played it no matter what. Tha'ts the difference.

Brutal loss - Risking game 7 against one of hte top 10 players of all time in his prime.

I get OKC is young but this year was wide open for them with Tatum injury.
