Wouldn't make the playoffs in the West.

That's not a bad thing, the West is loaded.

I do wonder how they would do if they were in the West and not the East which blows as a whole for the most part.

I think the Bulls would be sick if they landed Melo and Rose returns somewhat to form.

Phil Jackson has been fined $25,000 for tampering with Derek Fisher.
The tampering fine stems from when Jackson publicly discussed potentially hiring Derek Fisher as the Knicks next head coach, it is tampering because Fisher was still an active player for OKC. The beat reporters did give Phil the option to make the statement off the record, but Jackson elected to make his comments public. However, for a guy with an estimated net worth of $45 million, this could be viewed as a very light tap on the wrist.

All-1st team defense: CP3, George, Iggy, Ibaka, Noah.

Seems about right.

Oh hey look the SAME TWO TEAMS IN THE FINALS I LOVE PARITY.
Honestly, what is the NBA going to do about a completely noncompetitive, incompetent eastern conference? That is horrible for a league. To have a whole conference that basically doesn't matter outside of one team. That's how the NBA rolls.

I listen to sports talk all the time in NY and there were a few hokcey guys that came on that thought 6 teams could win in the western conference and only Boston could win in the east. Whats the difference?

They don't need to do anything. Their entertainment value is insanely high and people are going to watch no matter what. I don't see this as a problem for the league. Now I agree with you that it's horrible for the game and all that, but they aren't losing money because of it. And we all know that all that matters.

That more than Boston could win in the East (see them losing to Montreal)

Boston, Montreal, NY, and Pittsburgh were all legitimate contenders in the East.

The NBA isn't entirely entertaining. Thethe admits that teams don't even try in the regular season, which makes watching that less important.

How many of the playoffs games have been 20 point blowouts?

The difference? I mean, are you blind or unaware of who's in the finals?
Hint: it's not the Bruins. So, there goes your point.
If the Bruins were in it...4 years in a row...I'd agree with you.
Hey at least fans of one Eastern Conference team get to enjoy basketball! Woo.

The fans also just have to accept it, there's nothing they can do, and the NBA has been star-based for so long. The distribution of talent stinks and the drastic gaps in talent/opportunity/chance to win from the bottom to top rivals our wealth gap in this country. It's a shame half the league's fans are resigned to not having a shot to win or see their team be successful.

Depending on Rose's recovery, IF they got Melo and added a couple bench pieces, i think they could be scary next year.

But yes, same Finals as last year, predicted that before the playoffs, ho hum.

The last part makes it suck, there's like 3-5 teams who have a shot to do anything.

The rest of them are SOL.

They used to say the same things about the AFC and NFC in football that you guys are saying about the East and West.

Just saying.

Ugh, I tried watching hockey last night. I can't for the life of me understand why people think its exciting. Can't wait for the SA/MIA game tonight. Should be another epic finals matchup.

Good luck Turbo.

What luck does he need?

Is he playing in the game?

Fans have no impact on the game nor does it impact their lives.
