NBA Thread

Yawn.

You can buy a championship tshirt and brag on internet message boards?

Wippy.

By this logic why even root for a team. Why even post on a Braves message board. Im glad this helps your argument for this discussion, but it doesn't make any sense. Better believe if any of my teams win a championship Im going to be excited. Its why we watch sports and root for our teams.

NBA Finals Game 1 averaged 11.1% of homes in New York market. Stanley Cup Final Game 1 averaged 10.1% of homes in New York market.

Thats pretty bad that the NHL couldn't even beat the NBA in the NY ratings with the Rangers in the Stanley Cup.

Even worst that 11% of people would sit through a ****ty NBA game.

Sucked how it went down last night, but we probably still lose if LBJ played at the end. Need to win the next one.

You root for a team for the entertainment of value of the event. But in the end, whether your team wins or loses, it has no impact on your life. It's not like you get a ring

Hockey is just boring to watch on TV for me. Love going to the games, but I would much rather watch an NBA game . Just more entertaining to me.

Respect your opinion as opposed to thethe, who doesn't know what he's talking about.

But to me, in hockey, every second of the 60 minute game could be the difference in the game. Then if you have a close game down the stetch, it's wild.

To me that is more exciting that an NBA game when a 10-0 run int he 2nd quarter likely means nothing.

Pretty much said the same thing.

Indeed.

Expected game, knew as soon as Parker/Duncan missed those FT's, it was over.

Refs didnt help either calling everything on SA so it seemed.

That game had nothing to do with the refs. That game had all to do with Lebron telling the media to shut up. He is so incredibly great its amazing. Guy dominates every facet of the game in a way that even Jordan couldn't reach. Tony Parker was helpless trying to score against Lebron.

Also, these role players excel because Miamis big three are incredibly selfless. They are so easy to play with. Thats the difference between Miamis big 3 and OKC's big 3. OKC's is more talented IMO but they just don't know how to play the game the right way yet. Westbrook is obviously the easy target in that but its all three. Ibaka has no clue how to pass the ball and KD isn't tough enough yet. They need to learn how to trust like Miamis big 3 trust the rest of the team.

There were plenty of phantom calls that went Miami's way. How about the third foul on Manu where he slapped nothing but ball and Wade acted like he got smacked in the face? Or when Duncan goes up and James hacked the day lights out of him?

Anyway this series is over now. Spurs aren't winning in Miami. Fact is they had game two and it slipped away again. Those missed free throws ruined another title for San Antonio.
