NBA Thread

Only thethe could criticize a guy's offense who shoots almost 60% while averaging 25 points per game. I personally don't think you know what you are talking about at all in regards to creating his own offense, but I find it hilarious that you find him both a non factor on team defense and a "strictly PNR" offensive player. Of all the things you go off about this is by far the worst.

You watch the games though I guess so you must be right.

I've only said that if Davis wants to truly become one of the greats of all time he has to learn how to initiate his own offense. Everything he does is dependent on others on that side of the ball.

I fully expect Davis to become an elite defender. I just don't believe he is there yet.

What an absolute JOKE this guy is, best player of all time my ass.

Lebron says to Wade on Christmas day:

"Like I said, if we aren't better this year, we're gonna re-unite again and do some bigger and better things, alright?"

No. This wasn't about you debating him being an all time great.

You said Jimmy Butler > Anthony Davis

Do because Jimmy Butler is a better off the dribble player he's better overall?

No, thats not what I'm saying at all. Clearly, Davis has a much more of an overall impact on the game because of what he does in totality. But, in terms of a player being really good at both offense and defense I think Butler is slightly ahead because not only is he an elite defensive player but he is the type of player that can facilitate an offensive gameplan. Maybe Davis gets there at some point but right now he is strictly a PnR (which includes pick and pop) and an offensive rebounder. Right now Davis is a better version of Ibaka which is an incredible player.

So he grades out higher offensively and defensively, but as a two way player he's not as good?

Gotcha.

Offensive Win Shares

Davis - 4.8

Butler - 4.3

Defensive Win Shares

Davis - 1.8

Butler - 1.4

2+2=5

Loses a bunch of weight in the offseason and all of a sudden has knee issues. Sounds a bit suspicious to me. Do you not agree?

You're really this dumb? How is this a real thought process and conversation?

Was Melo on them too?

Do you think this thought is only held by myself. Just google lebron on steroids and you'll see plenty that comes back. I don't think any athlete is immune to the criticism. For some reason basketball has been shielded from PEDs. Why wouldn't basketball players take them?

The fact that you are googling this is precious.
