NBA Thread

I'm not going to respond to you again about this because it's a waste of time. But just know that until you prove otherwise you are undoubtedly a bitter Thunder fan who hates him for no other reason than he got traded. It's pathetic.

I don't agree with Thompson being the superior player but I think the gap is smaller than I would have put it at before this season. Thompson has really stepped up his game. If the Warriors find a way to keep Curry/Thompson/Green together then they are going to win a lot of games the next 5-10 years.

For what it's worth, team reporters have come out and said Embiid is NOT 300 lbs., has in fact left conditioning early, but only out of necessity. Keep in mind, the guy can barely move. He wasn't able to do anything for a while.

I do think it's funny that, the Sixers were explicitly trying not to be good. They all but announced that to everyone. The Knicks were kind of trying to be good, I mean at least you'd assume with a "top-10" like Melo. But they were just so bad, WORSE than a team trying to lose, that they gave up, but aren't getting as much heat for tanking as the Sixers did.

BRule said they'd be a playoff team this year though.

I don't put much stock in regular season games, but last night pretty remarkable. I really want to see how we do against Golden State in a couple weeks.

Yet you keep responding to me.

One, i've said before it's one of the worst trades of all-time.

Secondly, i just respect the greatness of Klay Thompson.

There is more to one side of the basketball but apparently your dumbass doesnt realize that, out.

PER: Harden 27.8 / Klay 22.8

Value Added: Harden 411 / Klay 238

Wins added: Harden 13.7 / Klay 7.9

NET Production rating: Harden 16.2 / Klay 12.6

Harden is gonna be Carmelo soon. Great scorer, but hates defense. Neither player will ever win a title. Harden isn't as bad as Carmelo as a teammate, but neither will ever win.

Melo and Harden aren't really similar. Lazy comp.

Harden is a much better offensive player. I don't get hte comp either. I guess people don't realize what a fantastic passer and ball handler Harden is at this point in his career.

Hawks are a great team. I saw this coming from last year. It takes time to gel and buy into a system. The other thing I think everyone has learned is just how great of a player Horford is. Probably a top 15 guy for me but nobody thinks so because he doesn't put up gaudy numbers. He just knows how to play basketball.

Only on ESPN could a team win 15 in a row, 28-2 in their last 30, most wins in the NBA, and most wins against teams with a winning record in the NBA, and ESPN still asks the question 2 months later if you're the real deal. Unless you're Lakeshow or Cavaliers. Then you're the favorite to win it all.

Surprised the Knicks aren't that good this year, considering we've been reminded by BRule hundreds of times over the years that Melo is the best "pure scorer" in the league.

Well, Melo has sat a lot but I've been saying it for years. Melo is overrated. He always has been and he still is.

I've known he was a force since his days at UF, but part of the issue with his being underrated is that he's really more of a PF, but—because of personnel—Atlanta's made him play a lot of five; I think he'd put up bigger numbers if he were back at the four more regularly.

I said the Knicks would be a 7-8 seed at best, never said they would win anything.

Melo, Calderson, Shump, JR, Bargs and a few others all missed a ton of games. Cole Aldrich was their best player for a month, no one is shocked they sucked.

With the way the NBA is trending I think he is a center. Such a glue guy. Just like Draymond in that you think he should be a 3 but he is really a 4 that can also play some 5. You need those guys. James/Durant are also examples of positionless players. Thats the new NBA.
