NBA Thread

Only on ESPN could a team win 15 in a row, 28-2 in their last 30, most wins in the NBA, and most wins against teams with a winning record in the NBA, and ESPN still asks the question 2 months later if you're the real deal. Unless you're Lakeshow or Cavaliers. Then you're the favorite to win it all.

I think it's reasonable to want to see how they do in the playoffs, first. They've never had much success there.

of course you agree, because it's totally false.

Harden is better than Melo but both are similar players.

Both shoot alot, neither can play a lick of defense, among other things.

Niners is spot on with his assesment.

Iso ball doesnt work in the playoffs and thats how Harden/Melo play.

Harden is a much better offensive player. I don't get hte comp either. I guess people don't realize what a fantastic passer and ball handler Harden is at this point in his career.

The comparison is that they good players who are overrated and will never win anything.

Charles Barkley, Karl Malone, John Stockton, Steve Nash, Patrick Ewing, and Shawn Kemp all fit that exact same definition using your standards. And they all play extremely different types of basketball.

Harden and Melo are only similar and they have a similar defensive reputation (one that Harden's play this year is exceeding). Offensively they are extremely dissimilar.

Harden and Melo games are nothing alike.

Thank you. Harden is one of the most effective passers in the NBA. His points per pass were the number one in the NBA for most of the year. Kirk Goldsberry refers to him as the most efficient offensive player in the NBA. Melo is anything but that.

Also, I still haven't heard a good argument to why ISO ball can't win in the playoffs. Considering MJ and Kobe have won 11 championships with the two highest usage rates in playoff history.

Agreed but they are similar

LMAO

Bad defense, and both are iso type players, that similar.

Harden is a much better passer though.

Comparing Harden to MJ, really, REALLY, REALLY, REALLY?

MJ is the best player ever, Harden has lost in the 1st round the last 2 years, get that crap out of here.

I had the joy of watching Harden play every day for three years. I knew early on in his rookie year he was going to be great. Fantastic player and in no way overrated

I cannot believe you're even serious sometimes heyward. so little of what you say makes any sense.

Harden is a great player but a little overrated, i dont see what the big deal is here.

Yall act like i said something personal about him, as fans we cant say bad things about players?

If there's any year to say he's overrated, this is not the year. He's having a really, really god year. If you think Klay can eventually surpass him, fine. But to say he's currently better is pretty objectively stupid.

You have the thinking comprehension skills of a 9 year old.

We have had this discussion twice already and you have sucked then just as much as you suck now. Harden isn't the same type of player as MJ. I have said this multiple times. I'm not comparing them. You are because you are a troll who thrives off of "OMG YOU SAID WHATT?? Lullllllllz".

You bring up all the time that ISO ball doesn't work in the playoffs and I respond with Kobe and MJ. you then choose to ignore this by saying "OMG HARDEN AND MJ. WHAT?!?! LULLLLZ". The next opportunity you get you make blanket observations about why Harden sucks and compare him to Melo then say how ISO doesn't work in the playoffs. Broken freaking record.

It has nothing to do with Harden because we could apply this to almost everything you say. Your modus operandi is ignorance.

He's one of the best offensive players in basketball, you act like i said he's lucky to start.

GIve me a break.

Heyward buddy...you need to mentally mature. I'm sure you're a good guy but some of the things you post are head scratchers.
