NBA Thread

lol Hardaway Jr. straight up for Dragic. I don't care if Dragic leaves Phoenix in the summer, that's an awful get for him. Hardaway is balls garbage.

11 points in 20 minutes a game and 36-37% from three on a rookie deal, far from garbage but maybe I'm wrong....you do have a vast history of being right and having great basketball knowledge...........OH WAIT, YOU THOUGHT PAYNE WAS GOOD......my bad, wrong poster. Carry on.

Anyways, not saying THJ = Drag BUT Drag isn't signing back there so do they take a cheap, young player with talent or do they take nothing when he walks?

I hope PHX trades Dragic. For one I have Bledsoe in my fantasy league and then it basically assures the Thunder of making the postseason.

I don't think THJ is a good return for Dragic even considering the contracts. There should be better offers out there.

If Dragic was signed past this year sure but he's already leaked that he wants to sign in LA or NY. So it kind of kills any leverage they might have, maybe a team gives up a better prospect but how many teams in the playoff race need a starting PG that have a prospect like that to move?

Lol THJ for Dragic is horrid.

LA could offer like Lin Hill Ellington and a 2nd.

Some assets depth

Why would PHX want another PG?

Well, they don't have any true PG's on their roster. IT2 and Bledsoe are both score first guys....plus Calderon can play both but is a pass first guy that should fit their system well.

There is no such thing as a "true PG" anymore. The NBA is moving towards scoring PG's or combo guards. It doesn't make sense to take the ball out of someone like Bledsoes hands especially not for an average player like Calderon.

Depends on how you want to look at it, that is fine for the regular season but I don't see anyone winning in the playoffs with Bledsoe or IT2 as their main PG, or a PG like that. Playoffs the pace and rotations tighten and it's more half court sets and PGs setting up for people.

Is Parker a true PG?

Is James a true PG?

I just don't think that exists anymore. The best example of a true "PG" is obviously Paul and his teams haven't even been to the conference finals.

I think you want the guy with the ball in his hands to be a dynamic player that can do both score and assist.

Tony Parker? Is that a serious question?

LeBron isn't the norm, he's a top 10 player of all time.

Parker is not a true PG. He is definitely a shoot first guy and since the bigs on SA are very skilled a lot of SA offense runs through them. They do not have a modern system based all on the PnR started by the PG.

And again, the best example of a true PG cannot even make the western conference finals. When matched up against the prime example of not a true PG last year he was essentially played to a standstill.

I think you need to watch Tony Parker more

No, I've watched Tony Parker enough. He is a player that is a better scorer than passer and he correctly plays in that way. He also doesn't risk many passes and has a low turnover number as a result of that. Parker would absolutely not be considered a pass first PG.

Any response on Zach Lowe's criticism that OKC's media the biggest homers in the league behind San Antonio?

Anthony Slater

Nah, didn't hear that. But I wouldn't agree. I believe we are pretty fair and balanced, but not homers.

Coming from the biggest homer, that's funny.
