NBA Thread

11 points in 20 minutes a game and 36-37% from three on a rookie deal, far from garbage but maybe I'm wrong....you do have a vast history of being right and having great basketball knowledge...........OH WAIT, YOU THOUGHT PAYNE WAS GOOD......my bad, wrong poster. Carry on.

Anyways, not saying THJ = Drag BUT Drag isn't signing back there so do they take a cheap, young player with talent or do they take nothing when he walks?

Oh yes your basketball knowledge trumps all. You said Knicks would be battling for 6-8 seed in the east. So yeah you are right on the money.

I've always like Durant, but why has he turned into this whining, beta, brat?

also:

"I was loyal," said Durant. "If it comes down to that, I mean: I was. My deal's up in 2016. I'll have been here nine years. I could have easily wanted out. I could have easily not signed the extension after my rookie contract. I could have not played as hard every night. But people tend to forget."

I mean, I'm still cool with Durant coming to DC and all (which seems obvious at this point), but can we cut out the whining, please?

Because BRULE is a knicks homer, doesn't mean he knows nothing about the NBA. If being a homer was the judge of your knowledge, there would be like 4 knowledgeable posters on here.

I mean, lets not go back and read some stuff that came out of Heyward and Niners......woah.

Yeah, it's weird....seems to building to him leaving OKC....seems to be very frustrated with management and the media there.

Back to Dragic & Knicks...apparently if they traded for him now, his cap hold for next season would be less, preserving something like $4.25 M in cap space. I only read this from one source and I don't know enough to know if it's good information. If true, it's an incentive to make a move for him now rather than wait until the summer. Still would lean towards "pass."

Isn't close to as good as KD....what's your point? Ibaka, Harden when he was on OKC.......again, what's your point? It can't be that LAC has a better roster than OKC because that's just dumb.

DeAndre Crawford Barnes Redick Collision Bledsoe?

There is absolutely zero evidence that KD is frustrated with management at all. There is pure unfounded speculation.

Dragic is nt a franchise changer. I wouldn't give up more draft picks for him.

Clearly you didn't read the article that I posted the quote from.

Do you resent the organization for trading James Harden?

Do I resent the organization? Nah. Hell nah. Let's look at it this way. We won 60 games the year he was gone, we won 59 the next year. Had a few injuries, never know what would have happened. So not at all. Plus they signed me to a max deal (smiles).

A lot of people on the outside looking in think that might be a factor in your decision next summer, the fact that they traded James and the talent hasn't been the same as in the past and you haven't been to the Finals since. What impact does that decision in 2012 make on your decision next summer?

None. None. We're still a good team. Still a good team. Let's be real now. We'd still be up there if we didn't have injuries. If I wasn't out, if Russ wasn't out, we'd be up there. So don't act like we a bad team or we got worse. Nah, we had injuries. It's a part of the game and I understand that, not crying about it. But that's what happened. We lost Russell for a playoff series, we lost Serge for a playoff series. Stuff like that happens, but to say all because we lost James we didn't make it to the Finals. Everybody's going to have their opinion, especially with the time winding down and the summer coming up with me, but I love where I'm at right now and I'm just trying to focus on that every single day.

Garbage? Really? As complementary pieces to Paul & Blake? Thats a bit much but I suppose if we are including Bledsoe then a few of those players were not the players they are today.

DeAndre Jordan is good. Some of the others spent little or no time with the Clipper. Barnes, Reddick? Really?

Redick is a quality role player but that is all he should have to be on that team.

Since Heyward won't answer, I'll ask you.....which roster would you take?

Present day roster and go back 2-3 years when LAC had Bledsoe and OKC had Harden.

Easily OKC. Thunder had arguably 3 of the top 5 players in basketball.
