Steve Novak on Enes Kanter: "He looks like a different player right now."

It happens sometimes Chop. Just like Reggie was crap for OKC its possible that Enes was unhappy in Utah for a long time.

Non max players get max sometimes. He has excellent offensive skills. Sometimes players need to move on and it seems like Kanter is enjoying playing with westbrook.

Sure. But when that happens it's called overpaying per the definition you just provided.

You realize Kanter did these things in Utah as well? He's not instaneously a new player. Even tonight he had three turnovers and contributed nothing outside of points and rebounds.

Hahahahahaha

Okay. Thethe. Enjoy.

And enes wasn't happy here for a long time isn't true. That's baseless.

I didn't say he was. Just said it was possible.

Kanter also contributed more than points and rebounds. His ability to finish on the PnR spaces the floor for everyone. It worked real well the last two days. Lets see if its a trend that continues.

His per 36 averages in Utah were 19 pts and 10 rebounds. He's going to do those things well in OKC. It's the rest of his game that was the reason that Utah had no interest in giving him more than 4 years 32 million.

Yeah, he will have his shortfalls. No player is perfect. But, having Ibaka behind him is going to help cover his biggest shortcoming slightly. Also, as he is still young these things can be learned. I'll need to see the rest of the season but the skills that he is flashing right now make me think he is worth at least 12 million a year and would be happy to give him 4 years 48.

I agree on all of those points. I think pairing him with Ibaka is an excellent combo. He's going to do real well down in the post if Ibaka is doing his Bosh impression.

I also believe he's worth more to the Thunder than the Jazz. The Jazz desperately need back court help and seem set in the front court especially if this Pleiss guy can be a good rotational big. They just couldn't defend paying him that much when they need to fill those other needs first.

I hope Enes does great in OKC. By all accounts he is a genuinely great guy.

The crazy thing is that Ibaka has gravitated towards the paint a bit more in the last few games and its resulted in a better overall game. The Thunder acquired a lot of shooting in this deal and gave up basically nothing for their future. I 100% believe in Steven Adams long term but to think about the potential efficiency of RW/KD playing with an actual big that can get buckets is tempting. Kanter is going to be a huge part of OKC's future IMO.

Jazz are set with their big men for the forseeable future. Hopefully Burks can come back strong and Exum makes the normal progressions for someone of his ability. Your record is not indicitive of how good you are because they are in the West.

Yeah I'm not entirely sold on Burks yet, but the Jazz have definitely missed him. He's really good at getting to the line and shoots over 40% on catch and shoot three's. He just tries to do too much too much.

Its been 2 games. Remember when waiters had a good game or 2 and you wanted to believe that was the real Waiters?

He's never played with anyone as good as Russ, or even Serge.

Unless AD misses a bunch of games, no way in hell Westbrook is ahead of him.

Russ is putting up video game numbers, he's ahead of AD.

Has a better record than the Pels despite missing 15 games, and KD out half the year.

thethe has never liked Waiters, stop it.

He has good games here or there.

But a legit low-post big, is something to get excited about.
