I'm really impressed overall with the Clippers. I thought Blake was going to be a crippling blow and they are still playing well.
Deandre looks incredible.
He's a legit max player.
He is the quintessential big man in the modern NBA. Helps that he has the best pure PG in the nba to play with. But, solid (not elite) rim protection, monster on the glass and can catch the ball on the PnR and throw it down.
Yup.
There's a lot of talented big men in the NBA right now that nobody acknowledges because they aren't elite scorers (Jordan, Gobert, Whiteside, etc)
Gobert is getting plenty of hype. Maybe thats because I frequent twitter all the time. The impact he has on the floor makes him a stud. If I were the Jazz I would flip Favors for another wing player and just run it with Gobert down low and space.
I like Curry, Harden, Russ, but...
LeBron is the MVP. What he's doing right now is incredible.
Favors and Gobert play together nicely because Favors has developed nicely into a traditional 4 who can protect the rim. It's a nice tandem that hurts the Jazz on offense, but they are elite on defense on the floor together.
If they could snag a stretch 4 or jump shooter in this draft that would be great.
Cleveland is stacked right now. Maybe Curry has better pieces around him but Lebron has a lot to work with.
It's a nice team he's on. But Every MVP candidate has a great team around him (except Harden).
I think they could still be elite on defense with Gobert and a stretch 4. Favors is kind of redundant on the team IMO. Space and pace. Space and pace.
And Westbrook considering Durant has basically been a non-presence this year since he has been in and out and rusty.

I really like this D Mo guy on Houston. Daryl seems to just pull these guys out of a hat.
I get what you mean. If you could flip Favors for a stretch 4 like a Draymond Green or Kevin Love than it helps, but I wouldn't trade Favors just to find a better fit. The Jazz still have too many holes to feel comfortable trading talent to try to augment their holes.
Right now the base of their team is their elite defense (which came out of nowhere because they were awful last year. Dead last in the league awful.). I would like to see them build around that and let Favors develop more on offense since he's only 22 and on a below market deal. And hope that they can find a stretch 4 in the draft or in free agency.
Part of the reason Kanter started shooting 3 pointers this year was the hope that he could become that guy.
