Is that any different from any other sport?

Exactly. Maddux and Glavine got the calls. If Bonds took a close pitch, he would usually get the benefit of the call. Its just how sports work. A rookie usually doesnt get that benefit.

You know the league would be pissed if the finals were Atlanta-Memphis. It may not be entirely fixed, but there are certain teams and players who the league wants to be in the limelight. It's the same for all sports.

If you legitimately think this then why do you watch?

There isn't much reason to follow a league when you don't trust that the results are not predetermined.

Also, Niners doesn't understand the economics of basketball (or any sport in general) and he believes the NBA fixes playoff series to get the highest TV rating possible. However, he doesn't understand that TV ratings are extremely in elastic and the fact that the TV deals have already been negotiated means the NBA wouldn't have any reason to fix games to get teams like the Lakers and Knicks (two worst teams in basketball and subsequently the most most popular) into the playoffs in place of large media markets like San Antonio and Cleveland.

I dont watch much until the playoffs, dont have League Pass or anything.

But the NBA is fixed.

I wonder how many triple doubles in a row does RW have to get before people realize he's the real MVP!

Heyward told me Harden gets all the calls? What happened last night?

.@SherwoodStrauss Yes I do. He shows the ball players go for it, or he drives into a player who isn’t set. Those are fouls.

Actually, calling Harden “elite” at getting someone to foul him might be underselling it.

Its not just showing the ball. A lot of times Harden throws his hands at defenders hands and draws fouls. Its very similar to the rip move of the the thing that REggie Miller made famous by kicking his legs out. I think it goes against the spirit of what a foul is and its a little distasteful.

This isn't even the least bit true.
