I'm glad you guys won last night. I don't want to give up a pick for Waiters this year.

Good. You guys can keep him.
Kanter is actually a huge wrestling fan. I know this from his Kentucky days, when he came out at Big Blue Madness to the Undertaker's theme.
Make of that what you will.
Personally, I think he's an immature kid who doesn't realize how serious this stuff is, but he's not a bad guy. I think he'll figure it out.
That will be great. KD will take his shots and he will have to start playing defense.
Of course if he doesn't like how things are going then he will probably quit.

They have Adams/Ibaka if they need defense, and to a lesser extent, Collison, not a problem.
Point stands.
Unfortunatey in basketball you cant have hust a defense unit and just an offense unit. So saying they dont have to worry about defense bc of X is dumb. Maybe it applies to a 6th man offensive player like Crawford or a defensive stopper which can be used in specific roles.
But you guys are talking about paying over 10 mil a year to this guy. Thats dont what you play a guy to play a specific role.

The Thunder have a defensive rating of 109 with Kanter. He is their only rotational player that has a net negative rating. In plainer terms, he's your only player that when he's on the court the Thunder are worse than their opponent.
He doesn't need to play defense though.
I'd love to punch Grunfield in the face for not trading Beal for Harden. Idiot
Sort of absurd how little value and production the Cavaliers are reaping from Kevin Love. Some of it's personnel, a lot of it's coaching and scheme, and it certainly doesn't help that Love's a pretty terrible defender; but really, that trade looks pretty good for Minnesota at the moment, while Wiggins would be a nice piece to bring off the bench for Cleveland.
Crazy how little they use him. Despite him still rebounding well and being a productive player. Just dont think Blatt can figure it out. I mean he could even hold a ton of value as a stretch 4/defensive rebounder.
Agreed; like I said, I do think a lot of his limited utility for Cleveland this season is a result of coaching—and really, in general, I haven't been to impressed with Blatt in his first season. But I do also think Love is at least part of the problem.
Don't get to watch the Thunder a ton, but watching them now. OKC has Adams/Kanter in together. The lane is like a freeway to the basket.
