NBA Thread

I still can't believe they threw Horford out of the game. To me an ejection should be really ugly. I didn't think it was clear that Horford tried to get him and Delvanova has a nasty habit of ending up around people's knees and ankles. That kind of thing really ticks big men off.

Where is the blind referee defender?

Howard throws a backhanded fist into Bogut's jaw and is only given a flagrant 1. His foul was much worse than Horford's was. No sane person can not agree.

I'd love to hear how Dwight's swat is worse than Horford basically jumping on someone and elbowing them? I did not understand how the announcers were downplaying Horford's foul. He literally fell on him, clearly on purpose, and elbowed him.

You shouldn't be taken seriously if you don't think Howard's was more blatant.

I don't think Howards was more blatant either. But, I'm not a Hawks homer. I thought both were flagrant 2s and should have both been ejected.

It's flagrant 1 at best. How exactly is rolling around on the floor like a wrestler trying to cut people's legs out more acceptable to people? Same crap happened in the Bulls series.

How is dropping an elbow on someone better than a guy diving for lose balls or trying to box out a much larger player?

Seriously, Horford dropped an elbow on a guy that was on the ground. How is that not worse than what Dwight did? Dwight could have been thrown out, sure, but I don't think he deserved it more than Horford did at all. Horford didn't even just elbow him; he elbowed him while dropping on top of him on the ground. To whine about that is puzzling.

If it's a simple as a guy "falling to the floor," why is it getting talked about so much? He took out Korver, and he was clearly leaning in and pushing into Horford to get him on the ground. Horford deserved a flagrant with the elbow, but there's no way you kick him out and leave in Howard.

Because Hawks fans won't let it go.

At least two national radio shows have led with it today. And it's more than Hawks fans calling the guy dirty. The play is far from the reason the Hawks are getting blown off the court, though. I'm only talking about it because of the comments that Howard's wasn't worse.
