NBA Thread

At least two national radio shows have led with it today. And it's more than Hawks fans calling the guy dirty. The play is far from the reason the Hawks are getting blown off the court, though. I'm only talking about it because of the comments that Howard's wasn't worse.

no, i don't see how swatting at someone who's behind you is worse than falling on a guy forcefully and elbowing him in the process. na.

Horford dropped the peoples elbow on Delly lol.

I dont think there's much difference in what either Al or Dwight did, and both should have been ejected but since Dwight is a star, of course he wont be.

Although Horford is one too but doesnt get the national pub.

Don't watch hoops much anymore, but I saw a replay of the Dwight Howard elbow and I can see why he wasn't suspended. Sheesh, it looks like Bogut wanted some immediate backdoor action. He was draped all over Howard.

I'm all about greatness in basketball now and I think LeBron is an all-time/all-time guy. He gets a lot of calls, but I swear Michael Jordan never bothered to dribble for the last half of his career, so star-treatment is nothing new in the NBA. Should be a good final.

Interesting to see what happens with Kevin Love in the finals. I'm not a big love fan having watched him some up here in Minnesota. If he shuts up and does the lunch bucket thing in Cleveland, he's a good player. He just thought he could carry a team when he was in Minnesota and he's not at that level.

Its tougher for a non ball handler to single-handily carry his team than a ball handler, imo. A 4 that can score in a variety of ways and also rebound is extremely valuable, but if they aren't surrounded with talent, it's easier to take them out of the game in the playoffs vs. a guy like Lebron who has the ball in his hands.

I find it interesting in the build up more wasn't made about LeBron potentially going for 5 in a row. I wonder if the media and internet were the way they are today if everyone wouldn't have hated Jordan as they do LeBron. We'd hear about how Jordan never could be like Wilt, and things like that.

And Jordan was/is a massive piece of ****, whereas LeBron isn't. He would get hated on a lot more today.

Yeah, JOrdan is like Kobe. Of course there's also the fact that Jordan may have been hated by many back thne, there was just no twitter or fascebook for the masses to bitch relentlessly and when those mediums came around people softened their tone.

And that was Love's problem in Minnesota. He thought he was Larry Bird.

I think Jordan is a much bigger asshole than Kobe. Not on the court or whatever, just in life. I know people who have met Kobe. I've never heard a good thing about Jordan from a personal standpoint. He's supposedly just a massive jerk.
