No one has signed that I wanted, Carroll would've been nice but not at that price. I'm okay with them sitting back and trying to get Wes/KK/Lopez/BB at under market deals.

Robin Lopez would be a nice piece for them.

Wes is risky.

Problem for the Knicks now is that the Cavs are goingto blow through the East for the next 3-4 years.

Does it make sense to keep Melo right now?

They won't be favored over the Thunder, Cavs or Spurs without Green. They can't play small with Draymond. He's the most important piece to them playing the style that they play.

They won a title with Dray playing like complete ****. Dray helps them more with regular season success and stacking wins through the long grind but they can certainly win a title if he leaves.

I would have given DMC 4/60. That was a coup for Toronto. He's potentially the second best 3 and D player in the league.

How do the warriors play small without Green?

Yeah, sometimes quibbling over a few million dollars a year is pointless (insert Harden reference here). If you like the guy and he fits a need you should just go get him.

Toronto is goingto be able to play smaller around Jonas now and be more effective.

They won the title because they went super small in the second part of that series. They would have never have done that if he wasn't there.

Seriously, are we debating Green's value? He's universally regarded as elite.

I don't get it honestly.

If GS isn't able to go small then the Cavs could actually use their good players more (Moz/Thompson) and they might have had more of a chance.

I'm not trading Melo, just to trade him.......draft picks next year are worthless so I'm not moving him for that. It's going to take a package of 2-3 nice players + 2-3 picks. Otherwise I just roll with Melo and the 4-5 FA's we are going to sign and hope for a break.

He's overrated.

You could always get future picks not in 2016.

By the time you MIGHT be able to compete with the Cavs, Melo is going to be 34-35.

Its not worth it. You need to capitalize on his value right now.

Yeah... Melo isn't getting a package like that.

No they cant, stop it.

Whose playing C in their small-ball sets?

Bogut?

Speights?

Lee?

Ezeli?

Draymond is so important for what GS does at both ends of the floor.

Wiggins didnt even get that and he's on a cheap rookie deal for 4-5 years.

Melo would maybe fetch a player, and a couple 1sts.

With the Cavs loading up for the next 5 years, they need to trade Melo.

Lot of other teams in the East have good cores as well.

Given some of these deals, Singler deal is ok if they actually use him. 5 years is a little strange though.

I wouldnt be against if they tried to trade Waiters though and just used Andre/Morrow at SG, but doubt it.
