He did a pretty solid job vs AD.

And was guarding ZBo and Marc who have insane size over him.

He can guard all 5 positions, mainly best at guarding 3-4-5's but his position versatility makes him irreplaceable.

The part that only makes sense to me is because of the lack of ability to sign other players. Im no cap expert, but how do they build around Klay/Curry/Green if all 3 are maxed out for the future? If it's difficult to max out all 3, Green is the first one to go, imo. I don't see how you max a with such a limited offensive game.

1) they won't have a true max player on contract next season. The cap is rising 40% in two years. They'll have room to offer a max offer next season and keep this core.

2) who cares about adding players when it means getting rid of your second best player? They've proven they can win with this core.

They wont have a big max player until Steph gets his massive deal.

Draymond can only get 15 a year, and Klay is around 14-17 mil or so.

I'd take my chances with Curry, Green and Klay long-term.

Oh but he can guard all 5 positions. This is how I know you weren't paying attention. The Warriors switched EVERYTHING. That's a hall mark of their defense.

When you can play him at center and not get burned and he can pop out and hit 3's at an above average rate then you can comfortably call him a freaking steal at the max.

He did get burned at center though. He was also awful though much of the playoffs. Also, he's below average (.337 vs. .350 at 3 point percentage despite probably having a ton of open looks)

Yes, he switched on pick and rolls, there are some defenders that can do an adequate job at that, especially when you have an elite defender like Bogut behind you.

3rd best player. Curry and Klay are both better plus they have an elite defender in Bogut.

The Knicks are scheduled to meet with Aaron Afflalo on Thursday.

Remember how Bogut didn't even play in the second half of the Cavs series? That was because they needed to go small. They can't go small without Draymond. At least not near to the same effect.

Giles, all the team based statistics back it up. He was 8th in the league in real plus/minus.

Dray was easily their best defender until the finals until Iggy had the series of his life.

You have yet to name a player they should have signed to replace him. You can even ignore the cap mechanics in play as well.

With the Lakers not getting much right now, Philly could have two top 5 picks next year.

The pick is only top 3 protected and LA will probably sign some players in FA.

Iggy isn't even the worst replacement. They don't have to have the same type of team to win it all. Curry/Klay/Barnes/Bogut can compete.

Green was terrible up until the finals.
