Eother way hes a very good defender and best rebounder in league that teams have to account for in the P&R. He'll get putbacks. Has chance to improve at posting up eith his athleticism.

Hes a much better version of Chandler.

His d-rating was 98.

From Haberstroh's hit piece on Jordan that pissed Doc off:

"Further hurting Jordan's cause is that the team's defense has sharpened when he goes to the bench. With Jordan on the floor, the Clippers give up 103.6 points per 100 possessions. When he hits the pine, it improves to 101.7 points per 100 possessions, according to NBA.com. That's not good news, especially considering that his backup is Spencer Hawes. While the Clippers' defense gets stingier when Jordan leaves the floor, just about every DPOY candidate has seen the opposite effect on their team's bottom line."

There is a quite a few other damning revelations in that piece in regards to DAJ's defense. I think he can be a top tier defensive player, but I am not sure his production matches up to that potential yet.

Hibbert is a solid center. Whats the problem?

Great...to do what exactly? Miss the playoffs?

You should not be making moves to get yourself potentially in the playoffs. These types of moves should put you over the top. I know the Lakers pick is only top 3 protected but what about next season when they are just a 35-40 win team. A 14 pick is not going to change the fortunes of the franchise in all liklihood.

The pick goes to Philly if its 4th and beyond.

I read they traded second round pick.

The Lakers arent going to be drafting early in the next couple years when they have Russell/Kobe/Randle. So upgrades will be at FA and "tanking makes nonsense"

What is Kobe right now? I'mnot sure I would bankon him being a good player for much longer.
