His career high in points is 11 PPG.

I read what twitter says about Kanter.

Adams is good, and i like McGary but hes not a stallworth on defense.

They needed him to be near SA/GS/Cle. May not regardless but it helps.

So your idea to get closer to the top is to max Kanter? LMA torching him should really help with that goal

What a scrub.

Enes Kanter had eleven 20-10s in 26 games with OKC last season. Blake Griffin had 9 total. Marc Gasol 8. DeAndre Jordan 7. Al Horford 7.

What was OKC supposed to do? Let a 20-10 center just walk?

Don't you think his offensive numbers are going to get even better with KD in? KD doesn't care about scoring anymore. Kanter is going to have his best offensive season of his career.

Now, we all know the defense is awful. But the idea is that he can improve to just being bad and then having lineups with Ibaka/KD/Roberson in there will help mask his deficiencies.

You can have the best defensive center in basketball (arguably Bogut) and if teams are going small those guys are going to have to sit down because they are liabilities on offense. Now if a team goes small against OKC they have hte option to match going small or leaving Kanter our, obviously have big problems defensively, but then just dominante inside on offense.

All the bad things about Kanter are not embelished. He is really really bad on defense but this is one of hte top 5 offensive big men in the game. He can score facing the basket, back to the basket, on the roll to the rim and can even extend to the 3 point line (which he will do more as his career progresses). That has a lot of value and when you are one of the 2 or 3 teams that has an elite rim protecting 4 that can stretch the floor then certain things work for you that don't for other teams. Lets see how it goes because even if OKC's defense is bad with Kanter, I have a lot of faith that htey will be the best offensive team in basketball next year as long as the big players stay healthy.

David Lee got lots of double doubles, should he have gotten the max?

Kanter off the floor: Opponents shot 58% in the restricted area vs. OKC.

Kanter on the floor: Opponents shot 64% in the restricted area

The max now isnt what it used to be, so cant compare past players/contracts.

Yes it is, it's a max contract....

How'd that maxing of Carlos Boozer go?

With KD and RW back and Kanters assists numbers out of the post (hint it's not good) I suspect a fun season is upon us.

Tristan Thompson is gonna get a max, and he's pretty much only a great offensive rebounder.

Again, it isnt.

Yeah... This isn't true.

The problem with this deal is what happens if KD/RW leave and you are left with a max kanter on the books? It doesn't get much worse than that.

If KD and RW leave the thunder are screwed regardless. You are looking at another 3-5 year rebuild and hoping when you draft high in the draft there is potential elite talent.

This is all about showing KD and RW that ownership I willing to spend and this is the place they will cement their all time HOF career.

The Nets sign Bargnani

Remember the Russian & Jay-z's "Blueprint for Greatness?"

:happy0157:

Yeah, I was kind of wrong on tha as well. That Celtics trade was beyond awful. However. I actually like what the Nets have done and they are actually in a position to be a strong player for KD next offseason.

Its a shame Kanter may be a detriment to that.
