NBA Thread

Wizards after Brooks. Odd that an owner can be so good at hockey, but so terrible at basketball.

The last 3 min of nba games are almost unbearable. The constant fouling and inconsistent ref work at the worst times makes it really aggravating.

Both teams are in pergatory that it will take years to get out of (unless they sign Durant). Not sure I'd be happy with where either team is.

I don't know. It seems like most Hawks fans are pretty content. They have a really likeable core with Millsap and Horford, a legitimate great head coach, and fun young players.

They won't win the title, but, IMO, sports isn't about winning championships. It's about enjoying watching your team.

Hawks fans wouldn't be content with constant mediocrity, but honestly basketball just isn't a huge grab in the south. Hawks fans aren't thrilled that the team will never actually be a legit title contender, but their expectations aren't unrealistic like most fan bases. They don't accept these things easily, but have come to terms that it's never going to change.

This is just off of what I read on a Hawks forum.

I think you could copy and paste that post in just about every Atlanta centric sports forum.

That is true as well. I was just speaking in terms of competitiveness. I mean, I get to watch John Wall, which is worth the price of a ticket alone. But, without a major FA, we aren't going anywhere for years.

Jason Terry guaranteed a Rockets win. They're down 30pts after 3 quarters. Jason Terry has ZERO points, 3 rebounds, 1 assist and 1 foul.

That's funny.

Ive never seen an ending like that. I Know refs let themmplayndown the stretch(dont understand) but that was no holds barred. The dude inbounding the ball pushed ginobilli and then they let ibaka grab Alridges jersey on a layup attempt. Wtf

He's got a pretty good team around him, too. They proved it when he went down.

Draymond Green is like a more physical Magic Johnson. He even went to Michigan State. He can do it all.

I think I watched about 3/4 of an NBA playoff game. THe problem is the good games come on late and I have no interest in watching a Raptors/Cavs/Heat/ whoever the Heat played game. I'm not sure the answer, but I wonder if the NBA could draw in more fans if they should the good games when over half of the country is awake.

I have read that this a problem for East Coasters, but dammit if it isn't a huge convenience for us in California.

Yep, must be nice out there. As someone on the east coast, I've really been enjoying the hockey games. They somehow figure out how to start games before 10:30
