NBA Thread

Reggie is playing himself into Ibaka type money. I'm getting nervous that he is going to be so good that teams might be willing to offer him max dollars or close to it. Guy is jsut really good at basketball and is showing himself to be a top notch defender early in his career.

And again, you find another guy to exalt before really proving anything for even a decent amount of time.
You are an all-time homer.

Just watch him blossom. I watch basically every thunder game. All you have to do is watch this kid play to know what he will be.

Thunder would LOVE to lock him up for Ibaka's money right now if they could.

Better yet, go look at Hardens numbers his last year with OKC and compare it to what Reggie is doing this year. Have fun with that realization.

Just so you don't have to here it is courtesy of a solid thunder board that I post on:

Here you go, fun Thunders stat/trivia (stats are per 36)

Player A: 49.1% FG%, 39.0% 3PT%. 4.7 rbs per game, 4.2 asts per game, 19.3 PPG

Player B: 48.8% FG%, 30.6% 3PT%, 5.5 rbs per game, 5.0 asts per game, 17.3 PPG

Answer:
Player A: James Harden, 2011-12 season (Thunder Finals year)
Player B: Reggie Jackson, This season.

I dont know about max money but i could see around what Ibaka got.

Or maybe a little less than that.

He isn't the pure shooter that Harden is (not yet at least) and he won't be a top 5 player like Harden is but Reggie could be a starter for probably half of the teams in the league IMO.

I wont go as far to say he could get max, only 4-5 players are worth max money but he could easily get around what Ibaka got.

Reggie can ball.

Using per 36 for a guy that gets 20 mins per game is a terrible idea.

Reggie's PER is 17. Hardens was 21. Next.

To even put them in the same sentence is lunacy.

Just wait GF. You thought Harden would never be a stud and I kept saying he would be. Reggie won't be as good as Harden because he can't shoot the 3 ball like him but he makes up some of that difference by being an excellent defender.

Lol at using per 36 to say Reggie = Harden

HAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHA

Lol at Reggie getting 10 mil per

I distinctly said that Harden was and is better than Reggie.

You bet your ass he is going to get that much. Have you even seen any Thunder games this year? Reggie is a tremendous shotmaker/defender and a developing playmaker.

No one said Reggie > Harden.

And if Reggie keeps progressing, he would absolutely get 10+ mil a year, no question.

Hilarious how big of a homers you two are....I thought that crap was reserved for SEC freaks...guess not.

No, who is he?

Trust me BRule, this guy has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought he would be this good but the most important thing is that its been consistent and thats the signal of a player who will be a big player moving forward. Heck, look at 82games "simple" rankings. Jackson is in the top 15 there. Not saying he is that tyupe of player but it shows what type of two way player he is. Basically every top 5 man unit for the Thunder includes Jackson as well.

I don't get why you come at on Jackson...I've told you MULTIPLE times I like him as a player. You just over value EVERY single player on any of your teams. I think Jackson is going to be a fine player, non-allstar, but a solid 15/5-6 type of guy. If some team wants to give him 5/55 then enjoy overpaying for him.

Personally I think the guy is a potential 20 PPG scorer but you can't forget his defense. The guy is a legit defender.
