Apparently Caron Butler is going to sign with the Thunder. Not sure how he fits in but I suppose he is a useful player.

Figured he'd ring chase for the Heat.

He's a good defender, good offensive player.

He SHOULD be in the rotation right away.

It wont happen, i'd consider starting him over Thabo

He had 38 points in his last 2 games.

No one is asking him to be the man, but he just needs to be able to hit open shots and space the floor for Russ and KD.

He's a decent defender which always helps.

Yeah, since his knee injury in 2011 he hasn't been the same player and now he is 33. I'll wait to see how he does when he gets as many wide open looks as Thabo gets but this move doesn't excite me.

I don't really care about the signing but when you play on one of the worst teams in the league the on/off court ratings have a lot of noise in them.

Still, if he can just hit open shots and somewhat defend the 3 position (debateable) it might work out.

Guys look better on offense when they are wide open like so many of the OKC Thunder players are. KD/RW are masterful at breaking down defenders right now and kicking out to open guys.

That is all you can really hope from out of Butler is to stand at the 3 pt line and shoot threes. Cause he's slowed down tremendously and cannot defend a lick.

He averaged 10.4 PPG, and was 39% from 3 last year.

That said, i havent seen him play, cant hurt.

Honestly the only difference is being in the lottery versus getting spanked in the playoffs.

Yeah, and I'd much rather not make the playoffs.

Which is why I love what the Sixers are doing.

Going to have MCW, Noel, Young, and hopefully either Wiggins or Parker. AND another top-11 pick.

I think Melo has done a fine job this year but he does and should deserve criticism for how this year has played out. He has little to no help but any team that are you the star of should not be this bad.

Melo has games where he puts up 40-44 points on 45-50% shooting and they still lose.

Only so much one player can do.

Not even LeBron would do much better on the same team/situation.

Sure if 7-26 shooting from the field is wrecking shop.

Maybe it was his -17 +/- that wrecked shop.
