NBA Thread

thethe basically proved his theory wrong by talking about how bad the Knicks have been while they are still the biggest game in town.

The Knicks are 20 games under 500, have no draft pick, lose by 20 every game, next year will be just as bad AND they sell out every game and draw more than the Nets who are in the playoffs and traded for KG and PP in the offseason. LOL

Knicks only drew at 95% last year.

The Knicks have been an embarrassment for 18 of the last 20 years, people still come. If they are coming this year, why would they stop next year? This just proves you have no idea wtf you're talking about.

2002 - 30 wins - 102% with an average of 19,763

2003 - 37 wins - 98.8% with an average of 19,011

2004 - 39 wins - 99.4% with an average of 19,164

2005 - 33 wins - 101.2% with an average of 19,515

2006 - 23 wins - 98.2% with an average of 18,931

2007 - 33 wins - 97.5% with an average of 18,805

2008 - 23 wins - 99.1% with an average of 19,115

2009 - 32 wins - 97.6% with an average of 19,287

2010 - 29 wins - 98.7% with an average of 19,501

Anything else to say?

That with being the only game in town. That is what is going to change.

Again, nobody is saying the KNicks aren't still going to be widly popular. I am just saying that the Nets are going to be a force in this town.

It will be interesting to see what the Knicks get at the gate next year. They are going to be as bad of a team as there is in basketball and that might be with Melo still on the team. If he ever decides on really caring about winning and leaves then oh boy the Knicks will be a train wreck to watch.

HAHAHAHAHAHA

The Nets are in town this year and much better than the Knicks....Knicks are still at 100%. Just give up

Most of these tickets are sold prior to the season and the Knick fans (like you) were delusional you were going to be good this year. There will be no such delusions this year.

Also, these numbers are tickets sold. If you have noticed, there are a bunch of empty seats for these Knick games right now.

I do kinda agree with thethe on Knicks/Nets TAKING OVA.

Brooklyn's owner ****s money like it's his breakfast, so even though they have zero picks for awhile, its not a massive deal.

If the Knicks lose Melo (if he's smart, he'd bolt to Chi), why would fans go to games and watch, what?

But i guess we'll see but certainly not that insane of a statement.

Oh, LeBron scores 61, MVP, Melo does it there is no talk over it?

It was a very good game, the best of his career obviously but no more, no less.

The nets play a beautiful brand of basketball. The passing reflects how their coach used to play.

Heyward agrees with thethe, which means I'm right.

Also, Heyward, having an owner that has all the money in the world means nothing in the NBA.....see, Knicks, New York.

haha....we will see Brule. Brooklyn is a powerful draw for basketball.

Either way, did you see the nets destroy the bulls last night? The Nets play beautiful basketball right now. Deron is quietly looking real good.

Bulls were coming off a back to back, had to fly from Chi to BK....most teams suck on the 2nd night of a back to back. Not surprising. In the last month and a half every good team they have played, they lost to...aside from Spurs and Duncan, Diaw, Leonard, TP and Manu didn't play. Wake me up when they beat a top team

Sure, that has an effect but it was an early game the night before so they got plenty of rest in the hotel.

Nobody is saying that hte Nets are an elite team only that they are very entertaining and its showing up in their ticket sales. If they win a round this year (highly possible) then there will be more buzz for the team.

BTW, slick how you used a month and a half threshold because in the first few days of January they beat OKC and Miami.
