NBA Thread

Wizards lost by 1 in OKC and blew out OKC at home. Clearly the Wiz are a better team by your logic.

So no consideration about how the Nets have one of the best records in the NBA since January 1st?

You can only play the teams in front of you.

Are you guys watching them play? I would suggest you do. Again, they aren't winning anything more than one round in the playoffs if that at all. But, they are fun to watch.

I watch them for as long as I can take it. They are like the Bulls and I can only take watching for so long. Cant wait to see the Nets in the playoffs if they make it. Jason Kidd......... LOL!

Do you think they win a round?

If they pass Washington for 5th, they won't. They have a shot vs. Toronto......although Toronto has the great Kyle Lowry, who is like the best player in the NBA.

Haha...Lowry proving me right all these years later! That was a joke btw BRule.

I think they can beat anyone after Miami/Indiana especially when you see how Deron is playing. That helps the team so much because Johnson is a capable #2 option and Pierce is a capable #3 and so on and so forth. It really just depends on Derons health. He has looked very good recently.

He is a reliable three point shooter and also someone that they can go to when a play breaks down. He isn't relied on to be a primary guy if Deron is heathy. He and Pierce kind of go back and forth being the second option and its working.

Also, Blatche is a solid offensive player as well as you may know.

JJ has a PER of 14 this year LULZ

Thats why they aren't an elite team. They don't have great players. They have a collection of solid players though and they play well together. Again, if they win a round it will be a solid season for them. They wanted more obviously but I still think it will be a solid ending. If they can get 3+ games at home in the playoffs then I'd imgaine overall they will feel ok about the year.

Feel ok about the year???? They spent 200 mil on this team, traded every pick they have and went for broke to win a title THIS YEAR.....how and why would they feel ok with 3 aging "stars" who account for 70 mil in payroll next year and 2 other "stars" who can't stay on the court.

I look forward to this reasoning.

Well if you put one of the top 2-3 offensive centers in the league on this team then they have a different outlook. That guy isn't here anymore though. Not relaly that hard to answer.

What was their record with Brook this year?

You were putting together a brand new team with many different moving parts with a brand new coach. There record was not indicative of where they would have been by the end of the year. Continue to believe otherwise.

You didn't answer the question

Also....part of the reason they are playing better is KG is playing C, not PF. So if Brook is healthy, that doesn't happen.

We have no clue what this team would look like in an alternate universe where Brook was healthy. All of this is just speculation. I will take the stance that the team would have learned how to play with eachother and having one of the top 5 centers in the game would help their chances in a playoff series against a small team like Miami.

No, we do.....they couldn't go small because Brook/KG wouldn't allow that. They started to win when they went small and changed the way they play.....that's not possible with a Brook/KG/PP front line.
