NBA Thread

You can continue to peddle these stats and assume it ends all arguments. Thats fine you do that. Its the same kind of things that lead you to believe someone like HOward is a good offensive player and a rookie who doesn't know how to play yet can stop him.

These stats are very unrefined at this point.

ONE ****ING GAME

Yeah because three years ago and prior actually matter. He has been AWFUL against them for two years now. Its not even just Perkins because he was lost against Adams last night as well.

Look at what he has done against OKC/MEM the last two years. Two teams that have excellent post defense.

Howard just benefits because the C position is weak and he is uber athletic. He has no skills.

Last year he put up 12 and 15 on OKC, the year before? 22 and 12

I think he is an absolute liability on defense. Everytime I see another top PG like CP3/RW go against him he can't even try to stop him.

Sure, he is a great shooter but I think you can get physical with him and slow him down. Again, he is a great player but I think RW brings more to the table.

Pretty much the same.

I don't care what he did three years ago.

Last year he also shot 42% against the Thunder and averaged 4 TO's a game. The guy is hot garbage against the Thunder. I'm glad he can dunk on smaller guys.

I'd take:

Bron

KD

Dwight

Love

Blake

Boogie

CP3

AD

Steph

Harden

George

over him for sure

Then guys like Melo - Wade - Dre - Irving - LMA - Wall and some others are in the RW group.

I'd say RW is somewhere between 12 and 20.

Bolded, no.

Healthy Wade i take over him.

Possibly LMA as well.

Dont know who Dre is.

I think RW is in the 6-8ish range.

Yih guys just aren't paying attention if you don't think the Nets are a good team. That's what happens when all you can do is quote stats.

Brooklyn beats Miami for a 3rd time.

Does this one not count, Miami had everyone playing.

Let me guess, Mia was sleep-walking, right?

Did that win count GF?

TAKE OVA! !!!!

It was as a solid win, caught some of it. Miami now looking disinterested losing 4 of 5.

Brooklyn is not a good team. They still won't get out of the 2nd round if they make it that far.

I don't think they will get out of the second round either if they get there. But thats just because Indiana/Miami are really good.

The Nets are a good team. Everyone on the floor can score the basketball (aside from Plumlee) and they share the basketball beautifully. They have also caused as many turnovers as anyone in basketball the past 2 1/2 months.

I'm sorry man but I can't take you seriously if you don't think they are a good team. How they played last night is how they have been playing since January. You could try to diminish their win all you want against Miami but the Heat didn't want to lose that game and they even got a solid effort out of Wade. Nets just outplayed them as they have been outplaying basically everyone for 2 1/2 months.

The Wizards aren't a good team at all and they are ahead of the Nets. I say that as a Wiz fan.

Your record is a cumulative effect. Teams start to come together and the good ones get better over the course of the season. What the Nets did in November/December have absolutely nothing to do with what level they are playing at right now.

BTW, the Nets are ahead of the Wizard right now.

I don't care what the Nets in November. They aren't a good team. They are equal or worse than the Wizards, who aren't a good team at all, but are able to be above .500 in the crappy East with 2 good teams.

That is probably good news for the Wiz, 6th would be better than 5th.

Miami does this every year....I don't get why you guys put so much into regular season games....this isn't the NFL. Miami gives ZERO ****s about the regular season.

I'll be sure to point back to this when the Nets are home and the Heat are in the ECF
