Does it matter? My guess is we miss out by a game but ATL is playing horrible ball, so it's possible we sneak in. Especially after beating GS last night.

Never anything wrong with the thrill of watching your team win a playoff game. Who knows...maybe Miami becomes the 1 seed. You guys seems to play them real well and if Wade is hurt and Amare continues to play well I really think you could make it fun.

Miami would destroy us, I'd rather play Indy who isn't close to the same team they were in the 1st half.

Miami without Wade is a different Miami team and I think Amare can hurt them inside. They can't exploit yoiur #1 weakness which is Felton.

The Knicks possibly making the playoffs shows how much of a joke the East is. Hell, the Wizards aren't even that good, they just have a stud PG.

It would be great if Silver eliminated conferences and instituted balanced schedules. It would be great if the Thunder could play the current eastern teams more often!

And here is why I want the Pacers:

Roy Hibbert said after Friday's loss that the Pacers have "some selfish dudes" on their team, and he lamented his team's lack of ball movement.
"We've got to move the ball," Hibbert said. "I'm really trying hard not to spaz out right now, but I don't know ... I'm not handling the rock ... It directly affects me and the bigs. We're just out there and it makes us look bad." His complaint is supported by the Pacers' 26th-ranked assist-to-turnover ratio, and they failed to crack 90 points for the fourth time in five games on Sunday in a loss to the Cavaliers. Miami is now within one game of Indy the East's best record, and the Pacers face a tough matchup with the scorching Spurs on Monday.

Fair point. I still think they can make it impossible for a team with one option like Melo to score. You need to be able to attack them with two players. But, I do agree that Indiana is not that great as I mentioned about a month ago. THey just can't score. Paul George has regressed big time. His percentage on close shots/layups is horrid.

Eh, the Wizards have a decent roster. Their frontcourt is formidable and Beal is a really good young shooting guard. I mean sure, they're still mostly an average team, but they do have some talent outside of Wall.

So its entirely possible that Durant could be the first player ever to have a year where he avearges 32+PPG with 50+ FG% & 40+ 3PT%.

Thats awesome.

And, if you're an advanced stats guy, his TS% is going to be around +10% above the league average which is absurd at that volume of scoring. Even in Jordan's best years he was only around +5% or +6%. I mean he's killing it in every advanced metric, too, but in terms of his scoring, which is his best asset, he's having one of the best seasons ever.

Great stat contribution there. I appreciate you providing that.

Durant has played like the best player in basketball. Its entirely possible that Lebron goes beast mode in the playoffs but KD is the MVP of this league. I've been saying it for some time now but he is going to be considered a top 10 player of all time when its all said and done. The guy is only 25 and people seem to forget that. You wouldn't be able to tell if you odn't want him but he is a gifted passer as well and I believe that aspect of his game will only grow. I think he will have seasons close to 7 assists per game. There is just so much attention drawn to him that guys are just open all over hte place.

I hope Dallas makes the playoffs so we get another pick in this draft and find a way to trade up to get an impact shooter. NOt sure if Stauskas can play defense at the next level but he will get 5-7 open three pointers a night with KD/RW on this team.

I watch every game. Nene has some offensive moves, but anything from their front court is created from Wall or someone else. Beal is decent and has time to grow, but he's not a very good player just yet

When Hibbert learns how to score the ball, he can bitch about not getting touches. Go check out his shot chart. I think he shoots under .500 right at the basket.

Spurs are just playing on an unbelievable level right now. Leonard for George Hill is such a joke.

Knicks schedule is too tough for them to overtake the Hawks. Maybe Cleveland can do it? I will take my chances in the lottery of a potential top ten pick than the Hawks getting jail sexed by Indy or Miami

Fair enough. I don't watch them enough to know them in and out like a Wizards fan. I just think they do have the talent that, on any given night, is capable of playing with and beating the best teams in the league. Granted I only really see them when they play the Thunder and maybe 2 or 3 more times all year (Heat games, usually) and they seem to play at a high level every time they play OKC.

Yeah, Durant's season has been remarkable. Him winning MVP this year would be more than justified. It wouldn't be a Derrick Rose-esque 2011 MVP campaign...not even close. In terms of just scoring, I honestly believe this season rivals any of MJ's best scoring seasons and he's on the verge of making "best perimeter scorer" a true two man debate between he and Jordan. Still has some work to do, but he's close.
