NBA Thread

Fair enough. I don't watch them enough to know them in and out like a Wizards fan. I just think they do have the talent that, on any given night, is capable of playing with and beating the best teams in the league. Granted I only really see them when they play the Thunder and maybe 2 or 3 more times all year (Heat games, usually) and they seem to play at a high level every time they play OKC.

They seem to match up well with OKC and Miami.

Yeah, Durant's season has been remarkable. Him winning MVP this year would be more than justified. It wouldn't be a Derrick Rose-esque 2011 MVP campaign...not even close. In terms of just scoring, I honestly believe this season rivals any of MJ's best scoring seasons and he's on the verge of making "best perimeter scorer" a true two man debate between he and Jordan. Still has some work to do, but he's close.

And his game only gets better. Expect him to be even better next year. 7 assists per game is not out of the question for him.

Some team is going to be really lucky when they trade for Asik. His contract sucks the next two years but after that you can probably get him on a discounted rate. He is absolutely a starting center in the nba.

I guess Mason Plumlee isn't that bad afterall.

Guy is a borderline starting center and the prototype of what you want out of your big men. He won't be a good enough rim defender to be an overall good player but he has a very nice offensive game if he is surrounded by an unselfish team. He has gone under the radar this year.

Knicks playing real well tonight. Nets are horrid on back to backs. Good thing there won't be any of those in the playoffs.

Since thethe loves to bring up the Nets when they win, I feel obligated to bring up when they lose to the Knicks BY 30!

Where do you come up with this ****?

Nets suck on back to backs. To be expected with an old team. There won't be back to backs in the playoffs. Knicks played really well and are playing for their playoff lives.

In the modern NBA there is no need for a center that scores down low. You want a guy that can run the floor and catch the ball in transition. Plumlee is a really solid NBA player. You really need to start watching. He is a rookie and has come along slowly this year but right now is really contributing to the Nets winning ways since January 1st.

The Nets also suck away from BK, which is why they won't do **** in the playoffs.

Plumlee is a back up PF/C....if he's a starter, you're ****ed.

I think he is definitely a back up right now. I just believe there is a chance he could develop into a starter.

At the start of the year you didn't even think he would be a rotational player.

Yeah, the Nets have issues for sure..thats why they aren't one of the best teams in basketball. But, I think that they play the right way and as long as its not a back to back they can play with everyone in the East (assuming Wade is not healthy).

He should be a 10 minute guy a night, the Nets have ZERO bigs so he's playing more.

The Nets big man depth is light for sure but I'm not sure how you can say that Plumlee should be a 10 minute guy. He has produced this year. How can that be denied? No, he isn't great or anything but he is still a rookie. He is limited because of his size and the fact that he can't shoot the ball but on the right team (Nets) he can be productive.

What other contending team would he be getting these kinda minutes on?

He would play on Miami for sure since they have no big men. He would work well with their style of play.

I think the Clippers would like to have him in a backup role.

I'm sure others would like to have him but I'm not as familiar with how the other teams play.

Are you trying to imply that Plumlee is not worth his minutes? Is he not producing?

You think the Heat would trust him over Birdman? Really? Maybe he takes Oden minutes, but that's 9 a game.

The Clippers go small, usually 1 of Blake or DAJ are on the court with a stretch 4 Barnes/Baby

Say I give you LAC, thats ONE other team....

Spurs were on a back to back and many games in the last week or so. Either way, I don't believe they can beat the Thunder in a 7 game series.
