Pretty much all of us are in favor of giving parents more options.
But should there be limits?
I have in mind one particular option: no school.
Not so many generations ago (when Johnny and Jenny were needed on the farm) that was the default setting. Then the state came in and mandated some form of education. We have gotten used to this new mandate. It is no longer new.
But should parents be given the choice of no school? Not home schooling. But no schooling period.
