Glad we stood pat there. His timeline and ours don't exactly mesh.

I'd rather let our guys develop before trying to accelerate anything here.

They held onto Florial, Frazier, Sheffield, Adams, and Torres.

Mateo is blocked by Didi, Torres and Castro. Yankees are stocked with outfielders and are rumored for Harper. Kap is good but they have Adams/Sheffield. Cashman fleeced Beane.
 
Buehler or Verdugo were the rumored prospects ++ that Texas wanted.

Wonder if LA got him without one of them.
 
Calhoun, Brendon Davis, and AJ Alexy to Texas, seems like a win for LA here.
 
Nice return for Texas for FA to be Darvish. Calhoun is a really good prospect without a true defensive home. Good get for an AL team.

Eh, they have Forsythe, Kike, Taylor, and the ageless Utley for 2nd. And can always sign someone if need be.
 
Disappointing deadline for the Braves. I'm sure Coppy was working the phones; hate nothing came together. Guess there just wasn't a market for Phillips or Adams. Knew Julio wouldn't move (waited too late to move him). But was hoping to rid ourselves of Johnson and his salary obligations, and maybe get a lottery ticket back.

I'm not talking about right now. Just saying that I like Calhoun a lot. No matter what, it is a big piece for a guy you'll lose after the year.
