He's played all over the diamond but is now an OFer who's supposedly a great defender. There have been some comparisons to Acuna as a hitter. He's 27.
The Japanese Trout?

Need to see it reported by someone legit but that would be something. His contract is only supposed to be like 4-40ish/5-50ish or so, not too bad. Not sure AA would allow this to leaked like this though.
For what it's worth... could be an interesting avenue:

Obviously I have no idea of the credibility but this guy sounds like he could be a baller
Add 7-9 million for the posting fee too.
The #Braves today acquired RHP Jay Jackson from the San Francisco Giants in exchange for cash considerations and a player to named later or cash considerations. In order to make room on the 40-man roster, the club designated RHP Yoan López for assignment.
I think if we sign Suzuki is because Acuña is not going to be ready for opening day. Suzuki will be our right field. If they add DH to the National League Acuña will be our DH.
I think any OF they get may need to fill that role for a bit. Give Acuna an extra month or so to DH and get at bats while being easy on his legs still.
You know Acuña is going to try to steal second the first time he gets on first. So who even knows how much designating him to hit will keep it easy on his legs.
(I miss watching Acuña.)

What about Javy Baez? He can play outfield and if somebody got hurt he could play SS, 3b, or 2b too. He’s probably 3rd or 4th on the FA SS market but he’s more valuable bc of his versatility.
Command issues notwithstanding, Jackson makes for a solid, low-cost pickup for the reigning World Series champs.
He was very good last year, but it’s funny how the bad teams always end up paying the guys that the smart teams sign as minor league free agents. Ironically in this case, it’s the Mets losing Loup as they are traditionally the team that over pays the middle relief guy.Aaron Loup finish with a great pay day.
