Official 2022 Offseason Moves Thread

I’m surprised Freeman has not signed yet anywhere. Seems like once he does, then things will fall into place with the other free agents fairly quickly

A little surprised as well, think he was waiting on AA to cave in on the 6th year and he never got it. Overplayed his hand, be interested what kinda deal Freeman gets regardless of which team.

I’m going to be a little salty if Freeman’s market collapses now and the dodgers get him for 3 years.

It very well could. Teams know with us being out that they don’t have to over pay anymore. The Dodgers have Muncy to play 1b so they aren’t desperate. FF is more of a luxury for them.

DOB saying that Duvall will start the season as the primary CF and that Acuña will play CF this year as well. Disappointing.

Still think we need an innings eating starter and an outfielder, even if its not a centerfielder.

CF - Acuña
RF - Soler
1B - Freeman
DH - Olson
3B - Riley
LF - Ozuna
2B - Albies
C - d’Arnaud
SS - Swanson

If that was the case, then we would have signed him already. Given the reports that we started our offers at 5 /135, I have to imagine he has offers in hand that already exceed that.

I guess it’s possible he signs for a 3/110 or something like that. I would have been tempted by that scenario if I were the Braves.

Could Freeman or Olson fake it in LF? A line up with Acuna, Olson, Freeman, Albies, Riley, Ozuna, and Duvall would score so many runs LF defense wouldn’t matter.
