Official 2022 Offseason Moves Thread

I’m going to be a little salty if Freeman’s market collapses now and the dodgers get him for 3 years.

The Braves not only being out, but also signing Olson to a reasonable deal can not “help” his market in any way. I really think his agent mucked things up.

Damn, dude.

Boston gonna bite the bullet on FF. They gotta try to match Toronto

Riley is an OF option until Acuna comes back.
Freddie has the option of signing a one year deal wherever should he not like what is out there right now. I would think both Detroit and Tampa would have interest to him.

Almost have to at this point. I can't stand Boston but that would be way better than the Yankees or Dodgers.

Boston and New York make sense for a lefty like Freeman. At this point in his career Freeman is attempting to get paid and start cementing his Hall of Fame status. Going to Boston or New York would bolster his profile a ton (Ortiz has no business being in the HoF but is because Boston) and assuming he keeps performing, ht short porches in right will allow him to pad his HR total a bit and probably is his best shot to push that total over 400.

I know Olson is the safer play, but damn. Really wish we would have traded for Chapman, signed Freeman, and moved Riley to LF. I imagine the price tag on Chapman is at least a little bit cheaper than Olson.

I can't believe FF is still not signed. Really just want to see this one come to a wrap to have the full picture. Just really hope its not LA.

I'm excited to see what deal Alex has for us today. He said 24 hours when asked at the Olson PC, then announced McHugh a few hours later. So whatever it is will be bigger than a good bullpen arm. I'm thinking an OF and guessing it's Rosario.

Was he being serious, though? It sounded like it in that 680 The Fan interview he did around 3:30 yesterday.

I'd be shocked if Freddie had to take a one-year deal. If he was willing, though, the Braves would be foolish not to re-sign him. If that's primarily as DH with Olson being the better defender, so be it.

I'd be shocked if FF has the ego to come back to the Braves. If I was him I'd be looking at the Mets and move Alonso to 1B. I'd just want to kill the Braves. Doesn't matter that Russ2dollas does not think AA or the Braves did anything wrong. FF the competitor is not going to come back.

I just hope his agent doesn't play this wrong and he ends up w/o a great option.

The last time the Jays traded for an A's 3rd baseman it worked out pretty well of the Jay's.
The Jay's needed Chapman after losing Siemen IMO. The AL east better watch out for the Jay's They are a solid team.

Wonder if the Jay's will extend Chapman.
