Official 2023 Playoff Thread

The Phillies were 2-4 vs the Brewers this season.

Does look up at least a little bit. Wheeler/Nola or Burnes/Woodruff would only likely get 1 start each vs Atlanta in a division series

Wow. News: Brandon Woodruff out for the wild card series and possibly the playoffs with a shoulder injury, per Craig Counsell.

Man I am ready for some playoff baseball. New deck has been started with screened in room. Won’t have fireplace on that side done yet but tv on brick with a good bourbon and I am in heaven. Should be done before game 1. Braves going to roll baby.

Nice

The Phillies worry me. They know our pitching and have been hitting us, Wheeler and Nola are both tough, good bullpen…I’d like Miami to upset them, but they’re without Alcantara and Eury Perez, so I think they’ll go down hard.

Reading up on all the playoff teams makes me almost happy to have a rotation of Strider/Fried/Elder.

Baseball is gonna be baseball, but no other team worries me. This is the Braves to win.

Agree. Most teams 3rd starter are garbage this year anyway. Except the Brewers 3rd starter. The average 3rd starter has an FIP in the 4.30-4.70 range.

The O's might be the worst team in the field to have a first round bye. Young group without a lot of playoff experience. Seems like a trap series for them come Divisional play.

I disagree. Orioles have a great Pen team ERA is better than Houston, Atlanta and the Dodgers. A couple of very young talented starters (Rodriquez and Bradish) and a deep lineup. Call me crazy but I think they were better than the Astros this year. The Dodgers are a weird team this year. Not sure how they keep winning so many games.
