Maddux is by far my favorite pitcher to watch. That cutter to lefties was insane.

Snell and Bellinger will end up signing a contract with a high AAV but around 4 years or less with multiple opt outs. Not sure about Montgomery. Wish we had the cash to offer him a nice cushion deal to fall back on if he doesn't get the years he wants. Something like 3/90 or 4/100.
Every year there are guys who have to take a pillow deal due to misreading their market. I wish AA would plan around being the team sitting back waiting to scoop up that value.
What makes you think we don't. We have the roster space available.

I had an interesting phone conversation with Keith Law a few years ago. He hit me up on LinkedIn to complain about a former employee of mine that was blowing up his twitter. It turned out the former employee never updated his LinkedIn page. When he first messaged me I asked him to call me and he did. Once I explained the situation he was fine, but I couldn’t let him of the phone without discussing Andruw and his HoF chances. We got into a pretty good debate and it turned into a really good conversation about the Braves. Prolly for a good 20 minutes. I thought I made some good arguments about Andruw and he certainly conceded some points, but still didn’t think Andruw was quite there.Keith Law rates Braves' farm system as 26th out of 30. Mentions Waldrep and Ritchie as solid prospects, but also says that most of the pitching prospects have high reliever risk. He rates Alvarez as the only position prospect who looks like he could develop into an everyday player.
I don't know how deep Law goes into the system, but there is no mention of the high-bonus international signings of the past few years. I would think some of those guys could develop although it's always difficult to gauge prospects' chances until they hit AA.
I have zero doubt that he’s far off BUT Law has probably missed his mark on Braves prospects as much or more than anyone else in the prospect sphereKeith Law rates Braves' farm system as 26th out of 30. Would you folks be interested in him doing a Q/A on this forum? Maybe toward the end of spring training once we get a look at some of the young guys? Let me know me I’ll see what I can do to arrange it if the interest is there from you guys.
