Sure but it's not happening. After we lost A-Rod I don't believe any of these types of rumors.

I agree in principle, but Ohtani’s one guy I wouldn’t bet against.

I have to assume there are provisions for any Ohtani contract if he never pitches again. Easiest way is to tie him to incentives based on innings pitched.

Ohtani is gonna be wayyyyyy overpaid as he gets older. That said he is athletic enough to play the OF if he can’t pitch. He played SS in Japan.
