Unless I'm missing something, AA is really the only one involved in doing these types of trades. Acquiring a guy with a pricey contract and then flipping him. I can't tell if he's discovered some sort of market inefficiency or if he's over thinking things. Regardless he's earned the benefit of the doubt from us.
 
I think AA has talked trade with somebody for a starter and knows what pieces he meeds without trading all of ours so he is doing all of this. Its pretty fun to watch actually. No clue where its going but im curios to see where it ends.

Yeah, he's lining up something for a trade. For who, well, yeah, thats anyones guess.
 
When the dust settles it seems (after Stassi is moved) like the full trade is going to be:

Kelenic, Fletcher, and PBTNL

For

Cole Phillips, Kyle Wright, Tyler Thomas

Absorbing Fletcher’s bad contract doesn’t seem like a terrible price to pay for JK’s upside.

That was my first thought. Fletcher's contract is better than White's and if Stassi is indeed moved, the Braves work their way out of paying White to man first base in Gwinnett and at least net some short-term coin depending on what comes back in the expected Stassi deal.

But I tend to agree with you. Neither Fletcher nor Lopez is going to scare anyone with the bat, but Lopez is the superior fielder (although Fletcher isn't bad with the glove).

With Kelenic in LF, and Fletch as the backup IF'er, where exactly in the world does Grissom fit into all this? Reading the tea leaves, he's gone.
 
This honestly makes me think Grissom being even more expendable, even with the LF bologna.

Grissom + Baldwin + Stassi for someone like Glasnow makes a level of sense.
 
Was there not an internet story where a guy traded a red paper clip and kept trading it until he got a car?
That is AA. He’s going to keep trading bad players and bad contracts until suddenly he lands glasnow.

Dont think AA would trade two catchers. Probably gotta add in a pitcher the Rays want.
