Boob still predicts the Braves land Cease, FWIW.
He seems like he’s been right more than usual this offseason. Granted that’s still not a ton, but better for him than usual.

Either get a legit #3 or don't bother.

I had no idea Marcus Stroman was so short.

After reading through the last few pages of this thread, we need to be reminded that we didn’t lose the playoff series because of pitching.
When we say, depending on unproven pitchers didn’t work out too well…
The pitching we had was good enough to win if the hitters had performed at all.
I am good with getting another good pitcher, but struggle with the narrative that last year didn’t work out because of pitching.
Game 3 was lost because Bryce Elder had to pitch. Snit could have mitigated the damage the Phillies did on him, but that cannot happen again.
Just because pitching wasn’t the ultimate factor this year doesn’t mean it won’t be next year, and it doesn’t mean pitching didn’t hurt at all this past season. It’s pretty obvious you can’t rely on Morton at this point, and it’s obvious Elder should not be starting a playoff game. A solid 3 is a need - period.
Probably so, but I don't think the braves need one to get to the playoffs. Maybe AA wants to see how AJSS has progressed and get a 3 at the dead line if needed

David Fletcher has been outrighted to Gwinnett.
AA doesn't make moves without a plan, but this one isn't clear... at all. We already had a ton of open roster spots, why open another?
Saw on Twitter he was days away from having enough service time to reject a AAA assignment. I'd imagine that's all it is.
Dick long though
DOB (I know, I know) says the plan with Fletcher hasn't changed -- he's still going to be the utility infielder. They just moved him to AAA to increase their offseason roster flexibility, knowing that no one would claim Fletcher on waivers and take that contract.
