Official Around Baseball 2023 Thread

Marlins are cooked. They have the hardest SOS left in the majors.

They still have:

Braves (3), Rays (4), Rangers (3), Dodgers (6), Astros (3), Brewers (7), Reds (3), Yankees (3), Phillies (7) left

Baseball is a funny game. The Braves went 27-4 and gained only six games on the division. Then they go 4-6 and gain two more games. That's like going 12-18 and gaining the same number of games.

Phillies and Marlins couldn't lose before the break and can't win since the break. Funny game indeed.

Man… Rob Thomson is brutal. Has Marsh on the bench and he doesn’t pinch run him for Schwarber in the bottom of the 8th and then Schwarber botched another flyball in the top of the 9th that allows the go ahead run to score.

Snit isn’t that bad, folks.

Snit has one job. Replace Rosario late in the game for Pillar. A nutless monkey could manage this roster.

We are here in Jacksonville to watch the Gwinnett Stripers play the Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp.

Unfortunately, Max Fried is sick and will not pitch in his rehab start tonight. The hope is he will be okay to do it tomorrow.

Sick probably means sore. Keep it quiet, so teams don't know we're desperate for a starter

Best record in the majors. We're not really desperate for anything, even without Fried. We would obviously want to pick up a starter in that scenario, but we don't need an impact starter like Dodgers or Phillies do.

Just get an impact starter and best reliever.. screw the farm.. win the whole damn thing.. then resign those guys and make a run that pisses every fanbase off for 5 years in a row.

Offense is plently good enough to win the series as is.

Phillies next 12 are Pirates, Marlins, Royals, and Nationals. If they are going to threaten Atlanta, they need to chop off 5-6 games in that 12 game stretch.
