Official Around Baseball 2023 Thread

At this point, I cannot see Atlanta picking up McHugh's 6 million dollar option in his age 37 season.

When/if Dylan Lee and Chavez return, I would expect McHugh to go down. Also disappointed in Brad Hand. He's been ass so far. Really thought he would be a lot better getting away from Coors.

I'm not sure where this came from. The Braves are 24-5 against the current last place teams.

It must be the fourth place curse.

Because I'm thinking of the A's, White Sox ajd Tigers we're taking turns in 4th. Pirates we split. Padres IIRC played us tough. The Red Sox were technically last place both times we played them, in ATL and in BOS, before the Yanks went into complete nose dive mode. We have beaten the Royals, Cards, Mets, and Yanks.

Mookie and the Dodgers are entering into a very tough stretch of pitching over the next 3 weeks while also going all over the country. Me thinks some struggles are coming their way.

I have been so freaking hyped for this series and didn't even notice that it falls on the weekend I will be in the smokies camping. Lucky that there is one overlook that is about 5-10 minutes from campsite that has reception.

Time to show those Dodger$ that one month of exceptional play doesn't make you the best team in the league..

I mean, they’re still easily the 2nd best team in the NL and maybe in MLB.

Their pitching doesn't really do it for me this year.

Yeah, none of their pitchers has been really dominant this year. Kershaw's ERA is 2.52 but his xFIP is 3.40. Still very good but he's definitely been lucky.

They don't have anyone this year that seems to be on the level of Strider or Fried.
