Cancer seems too strong a label.

We don’t know all the facts and clearly he should be held responsible. But from what I understand he allegedly dated this girl when he was 18 and she was 14 (with the mom and girl both lying about her age — mom sounds like a real piece of work). I don’t think he’s a predator and this type of situation happens in every high school all the time.

Some punishment is appropriate, but I don’t think he needs to exiled by any means.

Probably phrased that incorrectly. Not just referring to the current situation, but more in general where he has had to be benched and sent away from the team. Sounds like there are times he lacks effort or a general care for the team.

If he isn't careful, he is going to waste what could be a great career.
