Official Fire Fredi Thread

And some of us don't give a damn about you beating a dead horse.

Last night you threw Gosselin under the bus because he botched a grounder, tonight it's Fredi's fault when Peterson made the same mistake.

Yawn.

Umm ok? Think you're thinking of someone else as I didn't post in last nights game thread at all, let alone throw Goose under the bus. In fact I kinda like the guy, as the 25th man on the roster utility type.

So yeah....go searching

I'm sorry that you and others can't realize that the most frustrating thing about last season was Fredi pissing himself in all those close games. If we're going to have to sit through bad baseball and a far less talented team, at least spare us that crap.

When we have the "rebuild" done and are talented again, we will have the same reject manager. That's the Braves way.

Yep. A good manager might not be able to make THIS team a contender, but there's no doubt in my mind a good manager last year could've.

If you really want a legitimate reason to fire Fredi, wait until he hangs Teheran, Wood, or Miller's *sses out to dry and makes them throw 88 pitches in 2.1 IP like Brad Ausmus did David Price tonight, otherwise you simply don't have much.

Your opinion.

Most of you need to see your Doctor and get some blood pressure medication.

Also, I have good blood pressure and sleep well at night. Fredi is far down my list of worries in life. But since this is a board for us to bitch on, as long as I'm invested in watching Braves baseball, I'd rather not sit through the same crap year after year.

That some of us you've quoted is a very very VERY small group. I say probably less than 10 posters on this whole site and a very small SAMPLE size.

Yup. Heyward's complete inability to be a consistent hitter, Gattis' inability to play somewhere other than behind the plate (where he wasn't very good), and Justin's .228/.318/.420/.738 line with RISP had absolutely nothing to do with that and were all Fredi's fault.

Those three players also helped us win quite a few games. I can't say the same for Fredi.

No one is saying Fredi is the ONLY flaw.

But this is what they always come back to. Deflect with everybody else's shortcomings and neglect to bring up all the decisions Fredi made, i.e. everything Millwood mentioned.. I was the ring leader of scolding Heyward about his constant grounding out to second. But he saved a few damn runs too, didn't he?

Bobby Cox is the problem right now. I love the guy, but he's too emotionally invested. We need a manager who is willing to rebuild. We're a rebuilding team. This idea that we're going to compete this season is fantasy. Fredi Gonzalez is managing like he's living in a fantasy world and like thethe stated earlier he's just trying to keep his job. Fredi might be a really good manager, but there's no shame in being fired as a really good manager. It happens every time to the best of them.

I think we should fire Bobby Cox. There I said it. I think he's a liability in his current position.

I don't even know if Terry Collins is that good, but I only usually see him against the Braves and compared to Fredi, he's damn John McGraw.

We need someone from outside the inner circles of this organization. A fresh set of eyes. Since we're all in on the complimentary veteran pieces this year to mentor the young guys and maybe keep us out of last place, I'd rather one of them be a player-manager.

You might very well be right (and I wouldn't outright dispute the notion); but you'll be waiting a lot longer than just 'til 2017 for that to happen, methinks.

Let's say the Braves fire Gonzalez on July 1. Who should be the interim manager? Who should be hired as the long-term manager?
